The players of W1 have too many differences. For example people wont even agree to a shared forum(Yes I tried, WLE declined and TRaP is voting or something).

If every player would fight for himself/herself it would not be a massive world war due to the lack of nobles/nukes you need to take out a large player. That would lead to coordination between players which in turn would lead to tribes.

Furthermore the game is called TribalWars. Not SoloWars or OneManAgainstTheWorldInMedievalTimesWars.
