Many already know that KNT has a lot of fancy tools and a fancy system for claims and such. I'm making this post to brag about what we've got and show the world a glimpse. Most of the stuff was designed by our player el hippo, so I'm not necessarily taking credit for any of it.
Just because we have a big fancy system and big fancy toys, it doesn't make us better than other tribes. It does, however, make us cooler.
Every person in KNT and KNTC has a unique link that they use to login to the system. Only KNT/C members can request a link. They get this message and a follow-up message if ever they forget their link:
Our Village Claim system allows everyone in KNT and KNTC to make non-disputable claims on any village that doesn't belong to an ally or NAP member. Whoever claims the villages first, gets the rights to it. The system updates immediately and keeps hourly updates on the progress of the villages. When the system sees the village is taken, it recognizes that and acts accordingly. If someone doesn't take a village within 7 days, the village can be claimed by someone new.
If someone snipes a village, the system will alert the claimer that the village was sniped. Like this:
There is also a massive overview so everyone can see how things are going:
We've already talked about our financial aid system, but it's also included in the whole package. Anyone in KNT or KNTC can request financial aid. Anyone can donate resources using the system. I'm usually one that takes care of it all though, as I'm rich and generous.
The rest of the stuff is mainly for fun and information. Everyone probably has seen our continent dominance maps before:
In addition to that, the system also keeps track of IPs and plots them on a map. No usernames are labeled, for obvious reasons.
We just recently started using IRC more, so hippo set us up a web-based portal for those members that don't want to install IRC:
Most of the things we have just make life easier and the game more fun. The system doesn't include anything that's illegal in the game rules, and no one is forced to use the system. The system uses the premium account external messaging feature to use my account to send mails from. That feature of the premium account was made exactly for things like this.
