Weren’t really for protection. Would have enjoyed the fight against you all.

HUGS just a tribe who can’t take straight up wars. Have to take easy pickings cause the plan to attack Uruz backfired on you all when they started smashing you.

Looks like a little tug of war is going on?

Side 1:
Tribes: Uruz
Side 2:
Tribes: HUGS

Timeframe: Last week

Total conquers:

Side 1: 30
Side 2: 26
Difference: 4

chart

Total conquers against opposite side:

Side 1: 7
Side 2: 6
Difference: 1

chart

Points value of total conquers:

Side 1: 137,563
Side 2: 103,272
Difference: 34,291

chart

Points value of total conquers against opposite side:

Side 1: 34,977
Side 2: 28,963
Difference: 6,014

chart

I know these numbers aren't crazy big, but about 20-25% of both tribes' total conquers is against the other.

Just general growth or any other details we want to talk about?

That trend is in a lot of tribes, where they are heavily focused on one thing. I like to go through the stats and see what tribes are doing. Look at the rank 1 tribe Para, you see them internal their family tribe:

Side 1:
Tribes: Para
Side 2:
Tribes: Para!

Timeframe: Last 48 hours

Total conquers:

Side 1: 15
Side 2: 9
Difference: 6

chart

Total conquers against opposite side:

Side 1: 7
Side 2: 2
Difference: 5

chart

A lot of the reason Para are rank 1 is because of their internal and recruiting players from their family tribe into the main tribe.

Their neighbour and rank three tribe Code seems to focus heavily on their fights:

Side 1:
Tribes: Code
Side 2:
Tribes: WHOO!, WHOOII

Timeframe: Last 48 hours

Total conquers:

Side 1: 12
Side 2: 5
Difference: 7

chart

Total conquers against opposite side:

Side 1: 9
Side 2: 1
Difference: 8

chart

You can see that too earlier in their fight versus another tribe KNTL:

Side 1:
Tribes: Code
Side 2:
Tribes: KNTL

Timeframe: 27/05/2018 00:00:00 to 30/05/2018 00:00:00

Total conquers:

Side 1: 19
Side 2: 2
Difference: 17

chart

Total conquers against opposite side:

Side 1: 12
Side 2: 2
Difference: 10

chart

They seem to be one of those tribes that just piles on their opponents.

Now look at Beast vs. Gents. I had to make this from the stats since Gents are gone.

Side 1:
Tribes: BEAST
Side 2:
Gents, Gents!

Timeframe: 24/05/2018 00:00:00 to 31/05/2018 00:00:00

Total conquers:

Side 1: 36
Side 2: 0
Difference: 36

chart

Total conquers against opposite side:

Side 1: 6
Side 2: 0
Difference: 0

chart

The war vs. Gents was relatively low in conquers from each side. There might have been a time where the war was close. It has become higher now that Gents have collapsed though because the villages are now easy.

Now finally look at Riot!, they've had a long war against Impact and Giant. You can see the biggest war to date:

Side 1:
Tribes: Riot!
Side 2:
Tribes: Impact, Giant

Timeframe: Last 3 months

Total conquers:

Side 1: 111
Side 2: 40
Difference: 71

chart

Total conquers against opposite side:

Side 1: 39
Side 2: 5
Difference: 34

chart

Which is pretty consistent across Riot!'s lifetime that over 1/3 of their conquers come from the enemy.

Imo. that's smart play, even though I have gotten burnt myself by that type of play before and gotten really mad, but hey, seems like it's working out for them

It's not as smart as you think and can have massive repercussions later in the world. It's an effective startup/earlygame strategy but once the world consolidates into the top 3 tribes fighting for glory, things change rapidly since no leaders will respect and trust "huggers" that grow via diplomacy and making others do thier 'dirty' work for them. If this tribe HUGS has the skill, experience, and knowledge to actually fight come midgame than they can effectively follow up with a strong position. Lots depend on the dynamics of the world. I just popped in today after 2 years off and by the looks of it on PnP, w100 isn't going to be huge fans of hug-2-win strategy. Especially with these game settings.

Who is duke of HUGS? Is it da Wineman?
