Ladies, Gentlemen, Boys and Girls (and Survivants) - welcome to another edition of the Cicadian Times. Changes are afoot. And with changes comes your friendly neighbourhood troll. Just like Fox News during the presidential elections, this news report promises to stay consistently inconsistent, unbiased in its bias and impeccably unbalanced.

In recent days, the approach of warfare has changed across the world.

Munch and Run have changed their conflict targets. No longer wishing to bring down Cicada, the strategy has shifted to target the Spanish. Could this be a ploy to break one of the southern tribes and gain assistance versus Cicada?

As a direct result of this change in tactics, the southern alliance of Cicada and the Spanish have begun working closer together. Loyal to one another, the two tribes now are willing to move accounts between their tribes in order to assist one another defensively. Because teamwork makes the dream work!

A lull in activity in Cicada has been rectified in recent weeks. Account merges have been completed, reducing the member size to the target amount and moving coplayers to the most effective locations. Additional members have been brought in and the old guard has been galvanized by entertaining yet misguided comments from their enemy's duke along with the comical character Survivants. Cicada greatly appreciate Munch efforts on discord to spur them on...and will no doubt continue to carry this level of energy, activity and drive through the remainder of this world.

It appears that issues are once more afoot throughout this world. actually123's sudden loss of ranking...Druxer folding (which, judging from discord comments in various discord groups and from mails sent to Cicada, seems to be due to a loss of faith in the ability of his now former leaders)...major internaling in Munch...

Will Munch and Run rally behind their leaders?
Will BYOB continue to reach out for Munch and Run assistance?
Will the Spanish and Cicada alliance continue to strengthen?

The winds of war are blowing. And Cicada is more active, hyped and excited than ever before.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Nate, welcome to the latest edition of the Cicadian Times!

With the world waking up, it seems apt for another news report. As always, there will be no apologies for bias, lack of impartiality and we may be overly cautious.

Let's start off with the big news...

BYOB declares war on Cicada!

The build-up to this war is best described as an act from a circus. Let's have a look at the chain of reactions...

Munch realized they couldn't gain anything by attacking Cicada.
So they attacked Cicada's friends, the Spanish.
Cicada wanted more ODS.
Cicada put defense into the Spanish.
Some of that defense then hurt BYOB's efforts.
BYOB realized Cicada and Spanish were blocking BYOB attempts to gain villages.

BYOB declared on Cicada.

Does this really change anything? Not particularly. The issue with the war between PMS and Munch was distance. Everybody got bored who was fighting in that war. The only tribe who benefited was the frontline tribe, WB (who folded some months ago and are now... fighting a long-distance war  ).

Have lessons of this world not been learned? Have tribes forgotten why they have had wars they could never win? When tribes begin to learn from their mistakes, they are destined not to make them again. Sadly, this appears not to be true. But Cicada looks forward to this new 'war'.

The north-western side of the world appears to be having difficulties. Discord in the BYOB discord, activity issues and internal drama.
The north-eastern side of the world appears to be having no such difficulties. Confidence in Munch and Run seems at an all-time...high?
So without further ado, let's introduce this week's special interviewee...One-Punch Man himself. Nate!

Disclaimer: This interview features entirely true (and recent) comments by Nate, which have been repurposed into an interview.

Googly: Welcome Nate!
Nate: Hello, captain n00b.
Googly: Before we begin, let's have a quick check on the war stats from Cicada's last operation.

Googly: Have you any comments on this?
Nate: You got new players from W113 to help
Googly: Some yes, as have you. What excuse comes next?
Nate: Your ops are decent now and you put in the work
Googly: We've adjusted. Wars take time, part of it is about not giving up a fight...you can't win if you don't attack us.
Nate: BUT it does not matter
Googly: Oh?
Nate: We have survived worse here...
Googly: Have you?
Nate: We have fought bigger opponents for most of this world...
Googly: You do know that Munch and Run combined were bigger than Cicada? Plus all of those WB recruits. And yet you still are losing.
Nate: I refuse to lose to you n00bs
Googly: Good for you!
Nate: We will get our shit together and wall you!
Googly: Fighting talk. We like it! We hope your internal morale boost attempts begin to work :)

As you can see, the duke of Munch and Run isn't quite ready to accept the gravity of his situation.

And without further ado, the total war stats for this conflict (one including Druxer to show gains in enemy territory accurately, one without)...

And finally, let's look at all of the fallen heroes from each tribe since this war began.
............................. Cicada .............................
............................. Munch and Run .............................
Incognito. (account merge)
Salvador Dali (a coplayer moved to another account)
FamousInferno (a coplayer moved to another account)

In one tribe, an account merge and 2 internals where players now play elsewhere in their tribe.
In the other tribe, 16 accounts now down and out. Almost an entire tribe's worth of accounts. And of course the sizable noble count that goes with them.

This reporter cannot make claims on the reason behind the 16 Munch and Run accounts disappearing. Speculation is the best we can do.
Maybe some account merges were going on? Maybe a plan to create an account big enough to challenge The Sleepless Elite? Or maybe just players giving up? Or maybe, they liked the JheeeZ style with recruiting and then giving those new internals mostly to the leadership and core accounts

Regardless of the reason why, it is clear that one tribe is suffering far more than the other. Only a solid, trusted and respected leadership will be able to turn their ship around.

Only time will tell.
