Dear players,

If Tribal Wars had it's own Olympics, what disciplines would it have?
For this month's contest we want you to come up with ideas!
Let's blow everyone away with your creativity.

Rules:

- For your submission to be accepted you'll need to write 3 disciplines you'd like to see at the Tribal Wars Olympics.

- You also need to provide a description for each discipline how it would work and how it would be graded.

An example would be:
100m Train-Sniping (including description)
Backtiming (including description)
Barb Nobling (including description)

-
It obviously has to be something that can be executed in-game.
- Being original will increase your chances of winning.

Last but not least, please note that the forum rules still apply so keep it to one post, per forum account, per submission.

Sign-ups close 09/09/2021, any entries after this date will not count. The winners will be announced shortly after.

You can discuss entries here.

Prizes:

1st place 600 pp
2nd place 400 pp
3rd place 200 pp

We are looking forward to your feedback, which you can leave in this thread.

Teamwork
1. Landing Time Coordination Competition: From how many villages can you land attacks on an opponent in the same second (or 100-300ms if that's too easy).

Skill
2. Cancel sniping: Players who enter compete to see who can cancel snipe the most consistently. Whoever hits the snipe stays in, the loosers are out.

Speed
3. Dodging (cancel): Who is the fastest under mass in comings. Players receive x amount of fakes in a 30 minute period. Must dodge all attacks individually so must cancel outgoing and dodge next incoming to each village. Cannot dodge more than one attack per out-going command.

1. Communication
This discipline is entirely about player interaction. Each user would be given a score out of 10 for different areas of communication with higher points for class, manners, respectfulness and likeability, and points deducted for unpleasantness, inappropriate accusations and childishness.

Areas:
- player profile
- IGMs
- tribe forums

This could be extended to discord / external forums but that would reduce a number of user's scores dramatically!

2. AM template creation
This discipline is about speed alongside strategy. Each user is given 5 minutes to create and perfect an AM build from scratch to get to over 10k points. Once the 5 minutes are over, these are tested on a specially designed speed round to see who has the most efficient template. First to 10k gets gold.

3. Farm cultivation
This discipline is about the application of catapults to help shape farms. Users are given a 15x15 area, full or barbs. The first user to get all barbs to have all pits & warehouse 20+, with all other villages <5 in level, gets gold.

1. Activity

This discipline represents the importance of being available and working quickly. Points are awarded for taking actions quickly, and for responding quickly to events ingame (such as incomings, village conquers, messages, tribal support requirements, etc.). Scoring is over a one-week period, so say goodbye to your sleep schedule. You probably didn't have much of one anyway, right? All scripts are banned for this category, and all notifications are disabled.

2. Diplomacy

This discipline represents the importance of being able to win other players over to your side, and make them respect you. Contestants are given an angry opponent to play against, and are judged by that player at the end of the round.

3. Surprise

This discipline represents the ability to both expect the unexpected, and provide the unexpected for others. Players will be scored on the number of times that they are able to say, in appropriate context during a mail or ingame forum conversation, that "Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!". Players receive deductions each time another player says this to them, following the same rules.

EVENT 1: NOBLE MARATHON

No. players: 4
Objective: You must noble at least one village in every continent, and finish in the centre. You do not need to hold the villages at the end of the game.
Winning: Whoever completes in the shortest time

Village limit: None.
Troop limits: None.
Noble walk distance = 90 fields (so you can't just go straight across)

Strategies: The 90 field limit means you can be in the same K as your opponent but outside of their noble range. You may also choose to wildly vary your walk distance each time. You are fully encouraged to disrupt any other team in any way you see fit.

EVENT 2: BASKETNOBLE

No. players: 2
Objective: Try to land nobles in the opponents score zone. The further the shot, the greater the points. Conversely, for each noble saved, points are awarded. Winning: Whoever scores most points.

Village limit: 5 per player per K, 30 villages in the defence zone.
Troop limits: Only villages in the score zone can accommodate defensive troops. Only villages outside the score zone can accommodate & produce offensive troops. All villages are provided with full defence/offence (to players specification) but only offence villages can produce more in game. An infinite number of noblemen are available.
Noble walk distance = 999 fields (so you can score amazing shots from anywhere)
Time limit = TIme it takes noble to walk 1000 fields.

Strategies: The real trick to this game is launching those long range nobles early and then trying to peg back the opposition offence leaving your defence clear to defend the long rangers. Perhaps you'll go all in at the front early on and ditch the long range and mid field nobles?

EVENT 3: WEIGHTLIFTING

No. players: 1 vs 1
Objective: The player in the inner circle needs to break out through the player in the next inner circle. For each circle broken, the ring expands, giving the defender more and more troops each time, whilst the centre of the previous circle becomes void.
Winning: Breaking through all circles at all stages within the time limit.

Village limit: None - all villages are fully built at the start of the game.
Troop limits: None - all villages are empty at the start of the game
Noble walk distance = 30 (so you can't just sprint through)
Time limit = Yes

Strategies: How does one exploit a perfectly round front? Do you stack or do you recap?
