PP Price Increase ?

Has anybody else noticed that PP prices have really increased?

I used to buy 1.5k PP for £14.99 once every so often if I run low and wasn't farming on new worlds, I had a look yesterday on EN91 because I knew I would need some soon and it was 1.3k for 14.99, so the same price but for 200 less PP which I can just about handle

I've just checked again now on EN91 and its showing that I can now buy 1.3kpp (200 less) for £19.99 (£5.00 more!)

I didn't get any mail or see any notification about such a massive increase in price for PP.. Has anybody else?

Another question is, with most people PP trading from other servers, or PP farming on newer worlds to keep their PP supply running - Why on earth has the price for PP gone up so much when its so easy to obtain in other ways ??

Not happy! : (

we buy pp we make inno a bit more richer than before
inno wins.

if we don't have pp, then it would get a bit hectic for us
so we start pp farming , so more players in the new worlds
inno wins again.

its just my understanding on what is happening.

There was literally an announcement made saying the prices have changed and gone up.

There was literally an announcement made saying the prices have changed and gone up.

Where ?

EDIT: Just seen in the announcement thread..

Even still, to slap on such a massive increase and make an announcement after its already happened with no real explanation as to why is still well worth moaning about

Yah the price hike is kinda high and then you get to the bottom of the list:

  • 700 points - from 59.99 to 74.99

and you know Inno is just price gouging now.

As an established PP Whore I find this out of order.

After doing some sums I can conclude that the price increase will put me down at least 4 bottles of Moet per month

All of you who are making a joke about this ought to hang your heads in shame.

INNO should of sent a circular around at least but to their shame and disgust of the many they failed in this basic task, also pp farmers are just lazy defecators and you are helping to kill the game, as I posted before (the post was removed) INNO are trying to compete with the big boys but they will always be in the low league as that is where they belong now.

Unfortunately the price change was necessary due to the loss of value of GBP against other currencies.

You can find more info in the announcement here: https://forum.tribalwars.net/index.php?threads/premium-price-changes-gbp.278993/

You can see many other examples of the same thing happening throughout the industry. For example, we are now exactly in line with the same price changes Apple recently made for all types of media when purchasing in GBP.

Seriously Inno, you should be ashamed, given the costs players are expected to meet already for what is a effectively a browser game. Apple are one of the biggest companies in the world and they are also robbing bar stewards, who have been stealing British and European countries blind with their price hikes, but at least they have products that (some) people can't do without. However, Look at their sales after their recent price rises for their customers, here are some headlines for you, "iphone sales alone down 16% and overall forecasts show 3-5 billion dollars less income as a result." I don't know what Inno make in a year, but I think you will find a lot of people can do without this game and the way you are exploiting the players. Firstly, the way you have commercialised this game over the last few years so that people with money can buy their achievements in a world (think Tuadar W90 for example) is already one way the of wrecking the interest of players with limited funds. These so called PP whores move from world to world destroying the balance of the game in startup, then wander off midgame having immortalised themselves in the world achievements by killing barbs. It used to cost a player £5 a month to play with premium (yes I know 3 years ago), now its a heck of a lot more just to compete on the basics. Secondly, the pound has taken a hit, but has not fallen that much against all other world currencies to justify a 25% increase. If this is the real reason for the price rise, then I hope when sterling rises again in the next few months, you see fit to put the costs back down? I will be watching the French elections with interest, because if Marine Le Penn wins, which is looking more likely, France will be on the Frexit trail and the Euro will fall swiftly when the new government seeks to get the Franc re-introduced. There are other countries in the Euro zone always on the brink of disaster, but the price has not reduced when the pound was strong, so this is convenient excuse to persecute British? No doubt Inno games think they are as big as Apple now; with the new found mentality of an Oil giant, so I will not be holding my breath for a reduction when the Euro plummets again. I am aware that the price has not gone up for players in a different countries, so I would like to see the percentage loss against the currencies of the world posted here by inno to justify this hike on the British players. This server is for world players, I live in Spain, but pay in sterling against the dollar rate, which is strengthening against the Euro. BTW you are a German company trading in dollars, what does that say about your belief in the strength Euro.

You can disagree with our reasons as much as you wish (as is your right), but no matter how much you disagree it will not change the reason for the price increase which is the poor performance of Sterling compared to other markets. In general we do tend to match the same pricing tiers/changes as Apple/Google because they're generally on the point when it comes to things like that. GBP was not the only currency to have a price increase, but it was the only one mentioned on here because most players pay in GBP, USD or EUR.

For my fellow Brits who wish to complain about matters of economy in the past few months...if you are under 18, tough luck. If you are 18+, follow the questions below to understand the issue!

1. Did I vote for Brexit?
If yes, go to 4
If no, go to 2

2. Did I vote against Brexit?
If yes, suck it up
If no, go to 3

3. Did I have the right to vote but chose not to exercise that right?
If yes, go to 4
If no, suck it up

4. You only have yourself to blame.

:)

It's a pathetic excuse tbh, basically these people at INNO are so backward in coming forward they will kill this game stone dead in due course, well done...NOT

Of all the things they've done to the game this was probably one of the least significant/expected. Before the change, players were able to change the paying currency to pound and get more PP than they were getting from using their own currency. Inno might have made some greedy decisions about PP in the past, but this was straightforward.
