I may be wrong but it's my understanding that if I sent troops to support an ally or a barb, that wall does not give a boost to the defensive strength of my units.
But what if I own multiple villages and I send support to another village. Do my supporting troops get a defensive strength boost?

The wall gives a defensive bonus to all the units in the defending village, whether it is a barb, ally or one of your own villages.
