I didn't find these answers on the wiki that's why I am asking here.

If I decide to send defense support troops to a village, and then attack that village with my other offense troops, will I kill my own troops?
Because if I destroy a village and use it for farming it might seem wise to send support there so other players can't farm the village that I destroyed with my own units.

Is it smart to use some villages only for offense and other only for defense or do you always need to have mixed troops? It seems to me like I can make a purely defensive village and support other villages with it if I need the defense troops elsewhere.

yes, you are able to hit your own troops in another village

mixed villages tend to be weaker overall so most tend to specialize their villages to be one or the other
with the exception of either some sniping or farming troops
