This is a rough game, always has been.

he was in the #1 tribe on the k, who I personally declared war on. so no, I don't feel bad because I was massively outnumbered. and this is after their duke rather rudely told me to stop farming someone i'd been farming for days

I wouldn't say we feel bad about making a well planned premade (things actually didn't go according to plan, we intended to lay low and hide a bit), rather we feel kind of sad the world is as small as it is, I expected it to get a bit bigger still. A lot of us come from the time when worlds still had a 75% fill or higher (and that was when spawn locations were closer together), to see the game has shrunk to a mere 4 continents is almost heartbreaking.

I doubt any of us will actively play the next world, we play as a group, to win and for the fun of it. Playing multiple worlds for us old farts is too straining, as h0lly said, we don't have the time either.

There is no real line to be drawn, we're not the first to make a premade and certainly not the last. We're not even the most organised one I've ever seen.

Personally, I don't feel bad about joining such a well planned premade. It's more fun for me, and my enjoyment of the game comes first and foremost.

I will always prefer to join a premade as opposed to playing randomly. There is more purpose when playing with a premade and there is a better chance of making it further than startup with a good premade.

The line can't be drawn because it's a part of the game. You can prejoin a world and join tribes before anyone has even spawned yet. You could consider many core tribes premades as well, OBEY just goes that extra mile in how it prepared for the world.

At the end of the day, as long as I'm having fun and enjoying the game, I'll continue to play it as such. The end goal of joining any world is to win the world anyway. There are many ways to do it, but joining a premade is the way to guarantee a better chance of accomplishing that goal.

No. Not anymore. I've been playing this game since early 2007. I've started in non-premade tribes for the first... sixty something worlds until I first joined a premade. By this time I decided to only do those with people I enjoy playing with as I can't be bothered to deal a lot with the hiccups and unstable management of new tribes with very inexperienced members.

Never again. It's just not worth the headache if you plan on playing the world seriously. You'll either get nobled or join an established premade tribe that recruits you anyway at this stage of the game.

It's a little too late to try and ask what went wrong, and how we can fix the game. The game is old and it's not being advertised. There are many other games like tribal wars that you see ads for regularly. We all still play tribal wars because we're good at it, we like the game still, and we have friends that play it and get you to play it as well.

Both coincide with one another. I get enjoyment out of winning and playing in general.

What you find most fun is not necessarily what others find fun.
Some get a kick out of start up and smashing the people around them.
Some get a kick out of expanding their account throughout the first months.
Some enjoy planning out an OP and beat the crap out of another player/tribe.
Some have the greatest fun launching numerous attacks in the end game phase.
Some get a kick out of playing the political part and see their goals achieved.

Again that is also personal preference

I think that the most fun is in the mid-game. I enjoy when there are big enemies to fight that fight back and there are ops that needs the whole tribe in order to work. As of yet on W96, we haven't come across a big enough enemy to categorize them as "big enough" to encompass my definition of fighting a fun enemy, but there are still other tribes that we will have to beat in order to win in this world. It is certainly not over, and we know that. That is why we still are playing seriously.

End game is always just cleaning up the world when there is no resistance left. So far, this world has not entered that phase as most people are suggesting. Furthermore, we don't even know how impactful rune villages will have on the win. A tribe could suddenly noble a lot of rune villages and steal the win, they don't need dominance anymore.

I can't just join a tribe on the rim lead by someone unknown, or I would overshadow him =/ Honestly if I want to just play casually I would have to use an alias. And I hate doing that.

this is why you have secondary and third unknown/relatively unknown accounts. did it on w82, barbled and turtled and got a world win out of it.

Yes, I have to say I play under alias too all the time or at least start that way. I would have never gotten into TEA on W90 for example if I had played under my own name, albeit for differing reasons. Some of my best times playing TW have been just chilling without any reputation or without playing with the same old players. It really takes a lot of pressure off and allows me to just enjoy the small things of a world.

No. I mean I have to much history to just start a world and see what happens. This has nothing to do with P2W
Friends would be telling me to join them = Basically a premade.
Enemies would join just to mess with me = Annoying.
Tribes I join would ask me to help in leading = Annoying.

It's better for me to just join a premade and know what I'm getting myself into.

Premade tribes are simply raising the standard of the game. Like the NBA has done compared to a random group of guys playing basketball at the gym. Most worlds there are more than 1 premade tribe competing for the top ranks however on w96... OBEY is like the Golden State Warriors 2016-17 season right now.

Yeah we came prepared with a good line up and a lot of PP. How is the world going to respond?

By the way, the community embraced P2W by the thousands. Innogames would release a world with no pay to win, and 4-5k players would join. Then they would release a world with pay to win, and 20-25k would join. A few veterans throwing a fit does not compensate for that kind of disparity.

No. I mean I have to much history to just start a world and see what happens. This has nothing to do with P2W
Friends would be telling me to join them = Basically a premade.
Enemies would join just to mess with me = Annoying.
Tribes I join would ask me to help in leading = Annoying.

It's better for me to just join a premade and know what I'm getting myself into.
