An analysis of the top tribes, and others of note.

Some Cult tribes are quite well-organized, and while Cult does have some amount of dead weight, that's just because we're willing to invite low rated players and give them a chance. I view it as long-term village claiming, since any Cult members who go inactive or prove their stupidity can be nobled, increasing the strength of our stronger players.

Cult84 joined Cult at 2 million points. 4 months later, we are now close to 8 million points. We had less than 24 hours' warning about HTW-R potentially declaring against us, ask them how many strikes they got hit with :)

And this is the part I really hate about this game, and the reason why on an even keel the mass recruitment model is always going to be more successful. This way of playing has absolutely nothing to do with skill (or even fun), just about free villages when boredom attrition kicks in... :icon_sad:. Im not having a go because its obviously been very success for you, but this kind of model really will destory this game because it ceases to be a contest.....

oh and with the 24 hours warning boast; what is the caps score us against you despite all the attacks you've sent? :icon_wink: . Its easy to just throw attacks around, its al about making them count.

I admit, red-dot nobling isn't fun. And you know you have to keep going or else it'll be you next. :icon_neutral:

My conscience only goes away when I assure myself it's for the greater good :)

syrah - we only sent one strike wave against a [DR] target (Strat), and that killed pretty much everything except on his front-line villages. We later sent another 30 strikes to help Cult3 noble the cluster of villages closest to them, which they did. Further strikes were derailed by HORDE joining the conflict (we captured some 10 mHORDE villages near us and sent a long-range strike wave at an eHORDE target, with mixed success), and now just as we were about to send a larger, more focused strike wave, HTW-R entered the conflict and forced us to switch targets again. We're in process of nobling around 25 of their villages in our area, almost all of which are cleared at this point.

It's easy for you guys in terms of distance - you're right next to the front lines - but we're on the rim and it's rather pointless to try nobling you guys at 10+ days' range. We are supporting the front lines defensively, however, and HTW-R and some parts of HORDE are close enough so we'll probably be sending some noble trains their way. Anything that kills them frees up Cult members closer to the core, who are better positioned for attacking you.

Regarding mass recruitment - the focus of the tribe (at least as far as I'm concerned) has always been active military participation. You obviously can't do much from a military standpoint if you only have a few villages, so the more ways there are to collect villages, the better. We'd be focusing more on regional warfare if Cult weren't embroiled in a global war. We had three wars before we joined Cult, it's not like I don't enjoy a good war.

You were roughly 3 days late informing k56 SRM about the merger and cease fire terms. It was a bit irritating.

I don't remember that, honestly. It could have happened or maybe it didn't. As it happens i wasn't much active in the last week of that war(family matters) and when i came back i found my co-duke negotiating a peace treaty.
What i distinctly remember, is that you were roughly 12 hours late to inform your members to stop launching attacks. I'd say that was more irritating..

My net crashed in the middle of writing HTW-R's analysis, so I'm a bit delayed... i also had a dream last night about writing these, which disturbs me a little. lol. None the less, you should see a few more pop up tonight. I'll post when I write them.

HTW-R posted. I may revise it later though, I'm not feeling too good about it.

They're a tough one for me, because I've dealt with them far less than DR, DV and ROA.

Edit:

just one critizism. ON the htw one, you put when they're at war, expect the other ca tribes to follow. This is not entirely accurate since we're all mostly independent and have seperate wars.

It depends on how big the war is really

I think we usually do stick together in wars, but as far as I know, everytime the full CA has joined up together in a war, even all together they are still way outnumbered.

I am suprised there is no mention of AOD in FF's history, FF is the reformation of AOD mixing with a bit of colum A and B.

FF is not that old if you forget AOD. But maybe you would have different things to say about AOD as it was run by DTA.
