hey man, i never joined before becasue i never felt the need. with all this hoo-ha going on, i thought, what the hell. i've been with hot for at least a month. also, how is that relevant?

This situation has absolutely no bearing on the bigger issue that we have asked Hatred to end hostilities against our friends and allies, FTR.

That an idiotic baron in one tribal wing of HOT took it upon himself to declare war on half of the top 20 tribes in the game and changed the diplomacy to reflect his penchant for suicide does not mean that HOT agrees with him.

In fact, once it is determined who did this, they will be dealt with in a manner fitting their crime.

So the bottom line is simply thus....

While the situation has been blown out of proportion (from both sides), yet we do apologize for having a baron who obviously has mental issues. It's not the first time someone in the game has done something stupid and surely will not be the last.

Do not mistake this error as a statement of war or a declaration that we will not go to war. It is neither. Nor is it anything other than what has been stated - there are no underlying meanings. It is merely a public apology for an idiotic act of one person who we mistakenly trusted.

that is actually a well written out thing from which i have no response. when war was declared, bu some baron, or duke in our tribe, i thought all hell was barken loose. odviosuly not.

Vigrade, whatever is your point? This statement does not mean HOT is AT WAR nor is it confusing. While HOT may indeed soon be at war with forces opposed to our allies, a statement that we will support our allies is not a declaration of war.

As clearly stated, you may contact myself or another member of the leadership team for further information.

what i don't understand, however, is why were backing out of a war where our close allies FTR are coming under attack. would you mind explaining this to me? thats the last thing.

Et Tu PTT : The Story how PTT in their rampage to leave game with a bang includes their attacking their supposed Allies and NAPs.

Animosity : Hatred Thinking they are on Top finds out that they have been undone from within and find out their Spy in the jungle was a plant used by ME and that their allies fighting with them have designs on their land.

We have not backed out of any war. Get your facts straight before you make such ridiculous statements.

I wouldn't mind explaining anything to you but I'm not getting into a public pissing match with you over an issue that makes you look like a troll.

May I make a quick observation? Vigrade's profile ingame states that he is the Interal HOT NW manager. Should he have known of this?

An ally of yours cancels the NAP with your enemies, and you weren't hoping for that? That's kinda odd, unless you mean you were actually hoping they'd join in against Hatred, then it makes sense.

The OP made a confusing statement. I also felt from the OP that HOT was joining w/ Hatred.

To clarify a few things.

1. HOT's NAP with Hatred has not been cancelled. We gave them two full days to make a decision whether to stop the war being waged upon our allies. That is certainly more than enough time for them to bring the siege engines and cav to a halt if they were of a mind to do so. It is definitely more time than most would give for such a thing.

2. Cancellation of an NAP is not a declaration of war.

Edit to remove comment concerning Vigrade's "internal officer" status within HOT. This situation is under review (and no, this does not mean he's getting kicked out).

lol ... what an interesting dicussion ... I've noticed some expresions like(in a large view) "Vigrade stop writing on the public forums about HOT or you'll end up as a troll" ... so , lol? :lol:

I don't see why not? We have always been friendly neighbours with the Hot tribes. They might be allied with our enemy, but that doesn't mean we don't respect them.

Greetings.

The person who set these changes to HOT|NW diplomacy had already come forward to let us know he'd done it prior to this blowing into an issue. His willingness to let us know of his actions, to stand up for what he'd done and his prior history with our tribe have led us to believe he had no ill-intentions in setting these changes.

He was simply looking where all of the potential combatants were around his area and the tribe. Obviously leaving these in place wasn't the best move but it wasn't an intentional declaration of any sort by either him or HOT.

I will post an apology for saying whoever did it had "mental issues" as that was obviously a stupid thing for me to say. I'm not perfect nor a psychologist. ;)

These facts were all considered in our disciplinary review. This member is a loyal and well-intentioned member of the Holy Order of Truth. The situation has been dealt with and we now consider the matter closed.
