I propose an additional level of achievements is added to further the current wood-bronze-silver-gold system. This would be significantly harder (to a degree) than the gold achievement. Im going to refer to it provisionally as Diamond tier but it doesnt really matter.

What am i suggesting?

Currently getting the gold achievements can be done with a little bit of activity/luck by most people every world and thats fine, absolutely great. It awards a random green level flag (lv5) which is a suitable reward. Im suggesting that Diamond tier is introduced and requires a lot more effort to obtain and rewards the account with a Light blue flag (lv7) in recognition for the difficult achievement. There are two possible options:

1) They are designed to be achievable by most people who get to the late-game of the world. Example: 100m Opponents defeated. This isnt that hard for most people who are playing full time the whole world (estimate 20-30 people ish per world). Its hard to gauge exactly how many would get this as deleted accounts disappear from the OD rankings. Currently gold is 20m so its a 500% increase

2) They are designed to only be achieved by those who are the cream of the top. Example: 200m Opponents defeated. This would probably only be gotten by half a dozen accounts at most on an average world. If you see someone and they have achieved a diamond award then you know they had to work hard to get there

Both are viable options depending on what the consensus is. I would be fine with either option.

Why should it be implemented?

Firstly it could be done to help new accounts get established with higher tier flags. Currently you can be playing multiple worlds for years before you build up a good amount of decent flags. I myself only have a dozen or so lv7 flags after multiple world wins. This discourages new accounts from playing in the long-term and exacerbates the gap between the true top players and mid-tier players. By awarding a lv7 flag for a diamond achievement this could significantly boost them for future worlds.

Secondly it encourages people to continue playing a world once its considered "won". Generally a tribe very rarely loses once they hit critical mass over their opponents, usually around the 40-50% domination mark. After this point its generally clean up and slog it out until you hit the 70% for the win condition. By implementing desirable rewards in the form of diamond achievements it encourages people to be more pro-active and chase those goals. Currently there is very little incentive or motivation to continue logging in once a world is "won" and peoples activity levels drastically drop down to just logging in a couple of times a week to send support/attacks at the opposing tribe. Implementing these awards should by extension speed up worlds

How should they be done?

There's a lot of flexibility really depending on how difficult they are intended to be. Here are some possible examples:

Death of a hero (Gold - Level 4)

While supporting other villages, lose 100.000 of your units.

Death of a hero (Diamond - Level 5)

While supporting other villages, lose 1.000.000 of your units. OR 2.000.000


Plunderer (Gold - Level 4)

Plunder resources from other villages 10.000 times.

Plunderer (Diamond - Level 5)

Plunder resources from other villages 200.000 times. OR 500.000


Demolisher (Gold - Level 4)

Destroy 10.000 building levels using catapults.


Demolisher (Diamond - Level 5)

Destroy 25.000 building levels using catapults. OR 40.000


Wealth comes in gold (Gold - Level 4)

Mint 50.000 gold coins.

Wealth comes in gold (Diamond - Level 5)

Mint 500.000 gold coins. OR 1.000.000

You get the point, obviously some of them cant have any more tiers like paladin level so those can be left as is. These should all be achievable without being actually impossible for the average player provided they put in enough time/effort into a world come late-game

Possible cons

I cant think of many to be honest. Perhaps the cost/time of implementation? The only one i could see being the issue is that people might buy fewer flag packs but i kind of doubt it. I dont know how popular they are as i've never purchased them and i dont really know anyone who has bought more than the odd 1-2. I'd imagine they'll still be viable and purchased because they fulfil a different role - variety rather than specialisation of 1 lv7 flag.

The only other issue is that this is admittedly catered towards a minority of the playerbase. Im guessing most players wont actually get to be in the position where they can get a diamond achievement except without serious work. This is more about rewarding the players who put in effort world after world and effectively keep the game alive with their activity and dedication.

I voted yes, but in addition to a new tier, some of the existing awards are just scaled weirdly.

ie. Te res hauled award is currently:

10,000
1,000,000
100,000,000

The plunders one is

10
100
1,000
10,000

People tend to have 10,000 plunders before or around 1 million res hauled, it's weird to get gold on one of them before silver on the other.
