Arms Against POKE.

because you will be leaving more groups of people who are supposedly more knowledgible and more experienced and better at the game or what have you to destroy potential threats to themselves and thus gain an even greater advantage than they would already have.

POKE may be a threat to you right now, in your eyes, but the way I see it there are a lot of threats. A lot of big groups that may take things over. The more competition they have and the more fighting they do with people that can compete the weaker they all become and thus the better for those who are outside of them.

But maybe that's just my take on it. I just see no reason to band together to make things easier with people who already stated they want (and will take) your villages.

edit- I have two things I remembered I wanna say!

1- knownone is an ass. If you read the things he typed and seen him insult someone earlier in this thread, you should be able to agree. Especially if you use it in it's proper context as I did. So there is no actual need for the quotation marks around it, just assume I am calling him exactly what the dictionary says. Something like "A vain, self-important, silly, or aggressively stupid person."

2- I like the way you type. You have much more character in how you say things than most of the people around these parts, and I'm not referring to the capitalization you use, just your manner in typed word.

So a group of people come together, screw around with people to have some fun during the point of the game when there really is nothing to do, get flamed repeatedly by people calling themselves experts and when they decide to poke back people get all upset.

Well, There Is Always Worth In Leaving Some Competition Around For Future Enjoyment Of The Game. its Pointless In Attempting To Take Out All Competition As That Makes Things Too one Sided And You Get Total Domination Of Worlds.

There Are A Lot of Threats Yes, But, From What Ive Seen, POKE Would Be The One That Would Most Likly Grow To Be More Of A Threat Than Some Of The Others. And They Are Publicly Known. Others Keep To Themselves. These Guys Have Shown And Openly Said They Want Domination Of World Ten, Yes, All Do, But The Point Is These Guys Have Publicly Stated It In A Forum, Making Them More Ambitious, Thus Even More Of A Threat.

The Reason For My Putting 'Ass' Rather Than Simply Ass, Is Because As Far As Im Concerned, Its 'Arse'. Petty, I Know. But Im A Petty Person. And Thank You. I Appreciate Your Second Comment :)

first, some of these big threats actually have on their profile that they are the greatest or some such and quite a few have come to these forums to boast about how great they are. In fact, there's a topic somewhere around here with one of those tribes posting up attacks on another tribe and farming them while calling it a war. These POKE guys intend to do well and have said that, yes, but many more have said it first and many of them are actually in the big supposedly elite tribes. POKE just had more fun with it than just beating their chests and saying "WE ARE UBER!!"

Well, I go by whats my dictionary says and it's not arse! In fact, arse has always been used in reference to one's backside every time I've heard it used. :P

I Wasnt Talking To You Was I?




That Might Be So Evillian, However, POKE Are The Only Ones That I Have Seen. I Do Not Read The Forums. This Is My First Time Even Reading Anything Here. Its Not A Place I Tread.

Ive Had A Dealing With Them Because I Happened To Invite Some Of Their Members That Were Around, And I Started To Get Moronic Messages That Just Spammed My Inbox. Then, They Added The Link To Their Thread On The Forums, And Out Of Curiosity I Took A Look. What I Then Saw, Was That Those Messages I Had To Wade Through, Were In The End, Not Only Time Wasting, But They Were Intentionally Time Wasting, They Were Also Insulting In A Manner Because They Have Failed To Be True To Themselves, Simply For Some Odd Amusement Out Of Deception Of Others.

So I have A Bit Of A Problem With Them For That.

Well, Im The Way i Am And I Feel That 'Ass' Is A Pointless Word As Most People I Know (Out Side Of Americans) Tend To Say Arse :)

Ah, that would explain it. You see, there have been actual SPAM tribes that have posted on here. People who have spammed others (even one thread talked of a victory in a spam war) just because that's all they want to do. POKE aren't the first ones on this world to do it, it just seems that you weren't hit by these other tribes. In fact, Tutmozis 6 tried to do that with me very early and I just blocked him. Random mails telling me I need to chill out and asking if I like chicken...yeah...He states he's a n00b and doesn't build troops in his profile and so on.

It's over the top fake idiocy that in itself is idiocy on their part. But like I said, you only had to deal with this one tribe..

And I'm actually Canadian, not American. Arse is used around where I live, but never in place of the word ass in the context I use it in. Though the rest of Canada is practically void of the word arse at all. Anyway, I think that's enough ranting on that particular issue there :P
 
Well Im English, So The So Called Word 'Ass' Is Non Existance In My Vocabulary Lol.

Ive Only Had To Deal With The One Tribe Because We (The Shadow Spawn That Is) Tend To Keep To Ourselves Unless We Dont Have A Choice Or Unless Its The Better Of The Options We Have Available. In This Case, There Wasnt Much Choice. As Getting Stupid Messages Is Annoying And Frustrating, So, You End Up Looking At The Tribes Profile After A Few Days, And Notice A Link. Then Curiosity Gets The Better Of You... You Know The Rest Lol.

So here's how I see what's happening:

There is a tribe called POKE who claim to be newbies to TW ... but miraculously they start doing well. Suddenly everyone's ego gets dealt a blow and therefore we must all rush round trying to find reasons why POKE can't-possibly-be-all-that-good-can-they-no-I-don't-think-so-either. So we call them point whores; we call them incompetent; we decide that actually they are suddenly going to turn on each other mid-game; we do everything in our power to convince ourselves that actually we're much better than them. And then finally we decide that if we can't beat them fair and square, we're going to have to get all 40000 World 10 players or however many it is to gang up on them, just to keep our spirits up and more importantly: to show them to be the n00bs that they are.

Don't you think this smacks of pride, just a little?

I understand him quite fine and seem to have no trouble conversing. I also haven't noticed a single thing that would make you feel the need to make a comment about "133t" (you forgot the 7 as a t though). ConsumingDarkness is remarkably eloquent and hasn't gone into long strings of unintelligible "netspeak" so I can't understand your gripe other than typing capital letters for each word. Is it so hard to actually read a capital letter?
