attacks glitch

im begining to realize that it is impossible to send a decent train in this game. if i send it too fast, my attacks get switched around. if i send it a bit slower, it likes to drag my train out and leave 1-5 second gaps randomly between them. so basically if your fighting someone who can snipe 150ms trains, all you can do is just send so many that its impossible to get them all? kind of a dick move, dont you think?

From an attackers point of view, I would want the smallest possible gap between nobles. If I could I would definitely be sending 10ms trains.

From a defenders point of view, I would want trains coming at my villages to be possible to snipe. I really don't think 150ms trains are such a bad thing.

Not that I could ever consistently send them at that speed. I tend to put my trains out at about 500ms at the moment.

what im saying is that im screwed if i do, screwed if i dont. if i put them that fast the train rearranges itself due to server lag or something. if i try to make it a little slower, TW makes it a LOT slower.

Pretty much, and when I time my trains to land in the same second as my nuke it always gives me the "Invalid action" crap, so I have to resend and my noble train ends up landing minutes after my nuke, forcing me to time one more nuke to land before, It's a huge pain.

Happens all the time. Always, Always have to recheck the train.

With the new rules your attacks will automatically have a 50ms gap between them, so it's ideal as I can use the method of sending really fast trains like I can on UK servers to get those 10ms trains :p

Tiger - it isn't impossible, lots of people manage to send decent trains, so perhaps it is either a) your connection, b)you or c) the game hates you.

thats just the thing, i do send good trains. i just dont like how it switches my trains around when i do.every single time (and i do mean every single time) i have sent a 150ms train, it has been switched around. ive been told its because the attack commands reach the server at different times or something, but it still gets annoying.

I'm thinking when you send a really neat, tight train... When the server is sending the packet (or whatever??), because the axes are around the 6000+ mark (thats 4characters) and lc are around the 2000+ mark (another 4 characters) it takes longer to send than the escorts (only 22lc, 33lc or 100lc which is only 2 or 3 chars depending on what you do, plus the 1 for noble), as there is more information to be sent in the nuke. This is just my theory and could be wrong, but going off of this theory and sticking a few tabs inbetween my nuke and follow up nobles, it ensures my nuke is sent first. I don't get perfect 200/250ms trains, but they're under 300ms which is good enough for me. If he/she can snipe 300ms, good on 'em. /nods

The troop input scripts takes a lot of the pain out of making a train when you have them setup :icon_wink:
