Hello. Sorry I am not properly informed abou the rules, but to my understanding co-playing is legal. What I wanted to ask is if I made a browser extension that checks wether tribal wars is opened/logged in that browser then notifies the other co-players via a discord bot that a player is logged in in the shared account, is it legal?

Hello,
Browser extensions are not allowed to be used. That is against the rules of the game.

So it is that strict? Even with a simple non advantageous function like this? Alright then thank you.

I am not a expert on scripts/extensions but this seems like something you might be able to make without having any interaction with the game itself.
They also made discord bots that show data from the game so I think if you make a legal script that pushes the data to some kind of data base you could make a extension that just shows you the online status without actively interacting with the game.
