Dear players,

Based on your feedback we have decided to change the following settings:

- Noble production: Packages, expensive rebuild Cheap Rebuild

- Fake limit: 1% Deactivated

The announcement has been updated to reflect these changes.

Thank you for providing us with your feedback in a constructive and elaborate way.

Kind regards,

Your Tribal Wars Team

Just reasoning things through (as somebody who has played old style worlds) I think that the fake limit is intended to balance out the fact that sniping is not possible. Back in the day the settings were very much to the advantage of offensive players, because they could (and still can) rebuild quicker. Because there is no morale this means that a larger offensive player can bash a smaller defensive one seven days a week if they want, and then take the village when the smaller guy gives up in despair. I guess the fake limit is to reduce the amount of bashing?
Also, I assume the flags will not be available? (I did read the settings, just can't remember seeing anything about them.... sorry if I'm just blind :D)

Edit: I looked again and I guess I'm just plain blind :D :D No flags
Nope, the fake limit main(if not only) use is to prevent a person who's being targeted(aka "OP'd") to not get 10-20.000+ incoming attacks(1 ram/cat fakes).
Because then they apparently they get uncomfortable.... And have stress... And might shed a tear because oh no "it's too much".
So glad to have that easywars/carebearing rule removed

Edit; Maybe fake limit helps against bashing, however I doubt it, cause usually the farm/ram fangs have some OFF or even HC with them to escort

Thank you , at least now we have common ground and we can tolerate or will try to adapt this timing rule. This will make us handicapped though so gonna be tough.

You have a point but best defense is offense as defensive strategy is just slow death.

Exactly. I think that some of the later changes implemented (like morale) were to make a better balance between off and def... in the early worlds the only way to succeed was to go full off at the start and clear all the ground around you :D

As a matter of interest (for @JawJaw) are the troop values the same as the current ones, or are you reverting to the old attack/defense/cost values for troops too? (*missing those old-fashioned heavy horses*)

Troop balancing values remain the same. :)

As I am new to playing Classic I wonder if someone can explain about the setting for attacks:

- Attack timing: Full seconds (*)

(*) Whatever command is sent first will arrive first. This means commands can not be 'sniped'.

Does this mean there is no way to defend against noble trains except stacking a village as they will all land in the same second and any support or cancel sniping will land after the nobles if in the same second?

Yes if all 4 nobles are sent from same village, there is no option to get the troops landing in middle of them!

As it isnt possible to snipe trains with nobles all landing in the same second you shouldn't be allowed to use Chrome add on for sending trains as it makes it very easy to land all in one second. If you have to do it manually most players will need to practice sending trains fast from different tabs.

You can send noble trains using the built-in features of the game, no extension required (it will automatically prompt you to set up your train when you send a nobleman attack and you have more than one nobleman in the village). The Chrome extension is just allowing you to also send fake trains.

The built in feature of sending noble trains shouldn't be active on a classic world with no milliseconds just as the add on shouldnt be allowed either. Makes the a big part of the point about playing a classic world go down the drain. I just assumed the feature of sending noble trains was inactivated on the classic world as it didn't excist on the old worlds.
