Hear ye, hear ye! A mighty dragon has been spotted in the skies. A huge beast, I say! What, you question my word? 'Tis the size of a castle, if you will believe it! And its flaming breath reaches further than even the highest tower is tall. There is no time to waste, it is almost here! Sharpen your blades and ready your horses, for you are brave, and I am sure you are not afraid? Come on now, there is a treasure to gain! And loads of it! What are you waiting for?

Here Be Dragons!
In our newest event, which starts on the 27th of July and will be available until the 31st of July, you will find yourself on a dangerous endeavor that certainly has some potentially dicey outcomes! On the board game-style game map, you roll the dice daily to advance on the event board. By advancing, you will collect Dragon Scales from the dragon's back. Reach the dragon's head and slay it, to find the next dragon to fight. But, be careful not to burn yourself, or you might be set back on the board! The burnt patch on the dragon's back is best avoided for this reason!

Along the dragon's back, random encounters can occur, which will influence your progress to the dragon's head. Will you find the lucky bonuses that make you climb yourself up the dragon's back, or will you be unlucky, and does your next roll make you go backward instead? New Dice for more rolls become available daily, so make sure to check in every day to get the most out of the event, and obtain as many Dragon Scales as possible.

With the Dragon's Scales in hand, head to the Event Shop to spend them on all kinds of grand rewards of your choosing, as befits a true Lady or Knight! But don't wait too long - the Event Shop will only remain available temporarily, so ensure you spend your Dragon Scales before it closes its doors 24 hours after the event ends!

Changes

When the event ran for the first time in September 2021, there was very loud feedback from you, our Community, about it. Admittedly, this feedback was everything but positive. Therefore, we gave the event an overhaul to make it worth your time and hope, that those changes are in your favor. Let's start with the Event energy, aka dice rolls.

The energy regeneration was changed to one roll per hour, and not just twice a day. We also increased the number of daily dice rolls, so you now can save up to 10. You also start with a full set of 10 rolls, so in the first 24 hours of the event, you would be able to roll a total amount of 34 times.

As a player, you were able to purchase 1, 3, and 5 Dice rolls. Since we increase the maximum energy from 5 to 10 energy, we will also increase the Dice rolls you can purchase.
The new prices for the sets are:

1 Roll15
5 Rolls75
10 Rolls150

Additionally, we also increased the amount of Event Currency rewards that you can get for being on a certain rank on the leadership board. In general, with all these changes, the event is practically now doubled in what you can obtain from it without using Premium Points, as the main feedback we received about it was the Pay-2-Win factor of it.

Next to the rebalancing, we also added what we call the "Dragonslayer's logbook". This is your activity log, showing your most recent buffs, bonuses, or debuffs that you received by crossing the board. Through this means, you always can easily see how your next roll will be affected, and if you roll-roll-that-critical or not.

For more information on this event, check out the video below!

We are looking forward to hearing your feedback, so let us know your thoughts by posting in the discussion thread.

Kind regards,
Your Tribal Wars Team

Hello Jawjaw,

We have tested it on the Beta, and although the feedback has been heard, the implementation of it and "heard" feedback doesn't seem to be coming from the ones with the most knowledge, but perhaps those who were most vocal about it.

The issue with this event was that for BOTH premium users and non-premium users... this event was awful.

That means those who FARMED their premium points legitimately from other worlds to be able to partake in this event were harmed to the greatest extent.

HOWEVER, since this event still had an event offer, the biggest spenders wouldn't even be playing the event... They would be buying the event offer, stacking up to above 1000% Warehouse, WHILE BOTH THE F2P AND Premium Farming players are absolutely screwed.

Sure, you increased F2P's ability to roll... But shop prices were also increased (so not sure if it's more of a visual/appeal change?)

I like to give good feedback, but this event missed on all angles, and I clearly stated the main issue last time.

This EVENT OFFER needs to be removed, or players should at least be given an ability to contest a player who will spend $1,000 on the first event in a world to be able to afford 900% warehouse.

TL:DR The issue with this event is that the real benefit of it is locked behind a paywall. F2P can barely afford 70%+ warehouse, spenders can barely afford 150%+ warehouse, but an event offer purchaser can scale infinitely without being screwed over by an event clearly designated to give offer buyers to edge.

If there is no event offer this time, then I rescind my concerns and I look forward to event being fair for all.

I think my original post from last time summed it up well.

If there's no event offer, it's fair(er) for everyone.

If there is an event offer, the world is completely sold to whoever wants to throw $1,000+ to get the offers (Which there are MANY on .net)

good changes, my feedback was heard.

however I would still suggest small numerical changes to the prices, because for premium point spenders on a numerical scale it doesn't really make sense to spend any amount of pp on this event - still.
With the F2P buffs that make it actually enjoyable now (I tested it on the beta servers) the prices of the items on the event shop also got increased.
Previously a 20% respack did cost you 26k dragon scales in the event shop, as now it does cost you a whole 38k.

So here is how I as a high end player look at this kinda stuff. I check out all events as a whole (I have data on every single event collected and shared on my discord server) and calculate how much premium points I need to spend on average to aquire a 10% respack per event. If the cost per item is too high I always suggest players to simply skip that event and rather spend their premium points on another upcoming event where they get way better deals. Or save their money up for Warpacks. Because those are straight up OP and necessary in endgame wars.

And here it is the exact same case. I would say with average odds you get around 8K dragon scales per 10 dicerolls. If we put that into calculation you basically pay close to 360 premium points per 10% respack. Great, doesn't sound THAT bad, but the problem is the BASE price per extra purchase of set of dicerolls you make increases by 100%. You can only buy dice rolls for 150pp once a day. The next roll already will cost you 300, then 450, 600 and so on.
Basically making it incredibly painful to even spend enough PP each day to buy a 20% respack ONCE per day. That is just bad, like really bad.
There are really bad events in the game (in terms of PP efficiency per respack gained) that will cost you HALF of that.

The pricing is just still unreasonably balanced and not thoughtful enough.
2 Suggested solutions: Remove the base price increase per pp spent (since it is already expensive as hell and not worth spending pp on this event) OR revert the shop price increases to the previous value again.

It is like at that point, why spend time to develop pp spending features and re-purchase options if you are going to make them so god damn expensive that it is not ever - even once - lucrative to press these buttons as a player to try to get an advantage, just doesn't make sense..

However the rest of the changes were great, glad my feedback will get F2P players a better enjoyment out of this event.

I like this event, it gives us filthy poor casuals a chance to keep up with the big fat obese whales that have taken over the game. These p2w warriors wont know what to do when they come out of this event with only a few more res packs than me
