I wasn't sure where to put this - Here or Questions -, well anyway, I put it here.

Since sig and banner making are probably more or less the same I'm wondering which ones are the best to make banners/website design in? I honestly haven't much experience with such programms so wonderign if anyoen can suggest where I should start at. CorrelDraw, Photoshop..?

Thanks,

sumo

I think most of the sigs that are made here are done in Photoshop (personally, that is my preferred choice)

If you look at what most experienced sig makers recommend, and use themselves, it would be photoshop. It is amazing for image editing, it is very versatile, and easy to use :icon_wink:

Dunno if it's any good for web design though :icon_neutral:

Banners, navigation buttons and everything else that is an image in PhotoShop, page layout in Dreamweaver. That's for me.

Dreamweaver - 40 Day Trial (Again CS3 not CS4) - http://www.adobe.com/products/dreamweaver/

Thanks guys, I'll go with Photoshop then.

I'm not keen on using programms for web-desgining that take the work from you as in the end it's much better if you learn programming etc. just by using a notepad or DzSoft's Editors.

Thansk again for the swift responses!

I prefer Cs3/2 actually, most tutorials were made for it.

Also, the trial for Cs4 has a glitch when you try and download it.

99% of the locations & tools are the same for CS4 as is CS3, so I don't know why your actually bringing that up....PS has traditionally held the same controls for a while now. And downloading trials are for looozers :p I do it an even MORE illegal way :icon_cool:

Nothing has "changed" to the CS3 tools. Rather, it is a UI advancement and some minor features added. The change isn't nearly as big...as say, CS1. Mainly UI improvements.

Really? I have never tried Cs4, scratch that then.

Edit: For some reason, the trial I downloaded off adobe hasn't gone down any days on the "Days lef until trial expires meter"

I have had it for nearly a week :D

Yea... If you're painting :icon_neutral:

I prefer CS2 over CS3, but that's for Photoshop. I was raised using CS3 of everything else... And CS4 for Flash changed the layout so much, so I can't imagine what happened to the rest of them. Still, the black skinned CS4 looks soooo sexy :icon_redface:

If you are making banners for websites, it's almost the exact same as making sigs for the forums. Even similar dimensions.

I run a few different websites, and I use a combination of Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 for all the design and upkeep. With these programs I never have to even get my hands dirty with HTML script.
