Mcm would no doubt do as good as any. Infact shes a credit to HOT and copes well under pressure. Mantho would of course do well and Merlin would also do well.
Im not sure though who Col's heir is though.

If he gets the helm his first action will probably be to attack Aten and then be the downfall of HOT in the semi-long run (3-4 months)

True, he did a good job with HOT and whoever replaces him will have their hands full for a while.
@ Tazoslo, you cannot say what he will do if he makes it as leader of HOT, some people can change completely before your eyes.
Look at Bolaar for a good example. Leader of XiG then goes to Cake and puts all family business behind him and he was respected for both of these actions even though they are very different.
If Mantho does get in, it is likely he will put anything personal behind and do whatever gives his tribe the best change to be the last standing.
