Dear Community,

You saw the return of Speed. Now get ready for the return of High Performance!

Competitive, high-paced worlds? Check.
Unusual settings? Check.
Feedback from the community? That's where you come in.

With this relaunch, we're looking to do shorter rounds than before, some with crazier settings, and some that will be more familiar to those used to Classic rounds. The expected length for each round will be about a month, give or take - in essence coming somewhere in between Classic and Speed. The idea is to put out something with more 'unusual' settings after a standard world is launched, then a more 'traditional' round a month later - then repeat that cycle, adjusting as necessary.

As part of the process, of course, we need your feedback! Requests for settings both unusual and common, that you would like to see, are welcome. Whether it's just one setting, a novel idea of how to use an existing setting, or a group of settings that work together in a certain way, we'd love to hear your ideas!

While you wait for our first round to launch, why not check out our Discord? Simply join the official Discord server, type /join into a channel, and select HP from the options that appear.

Some ideas for unsual settings:

- No catapults until Day 14.
- No luck
- Noblemen reduce loyalty by 25 always,

Maybe some more settings that just minimize the RNG element of the game.

Is it possible to create HP world 1, 2, 3 and so on just like normal worlds.

So that the players playing it, get the achievement of winning?

I've won the last three in a row but nothing to show for it :(

I like no flags, no luck.
Think HP always has PE so no point worrying there.
No morale ofc.

Speed 4, Unit 0.75 maybe?
Tribe limit 20 works, maybe whack on a tribe lock around 2-3 weeks in?
Flags off, but can still earn them?

Small raised start to improve farming. E.g. 3/3/3 mines start. Good barb numbers.

No joining/restarts after 1 week? This might then allow a 100% domination target.

Strict pushing rule enforced.

Just for clarity on some of the previous responses:

Luck is not configurable, unfortunately. Noblemen loyalty drops are configurable, though.

Flags are partially above my level but I can put in a good word to try and get them turned off - no promises. Premium exchange is completely out of our hands.

We are not able to enforce any additional rules (e.g. additional pushing rules) for the first round of this reboot, but we might be able to do so for future rounds, depending on how recruitment to the team goes.

The speed is intended to be around 5-10, maybe higher if the settings are particularly slow; the ultimate unit speed should be about 100-200% of normal (the exact modifiers to achieve this obviously depend on the world speed).

I'd like to see barb ratio similar to classic on .pl server. Then 2-3x travel speed to accommodate for increased world size

What needed changed about HP?

The last three HP worlds have been perfect and on point the best settings TW has ever had :)

Mainly I guess I'm biased for winning the last three, but if it isn't broke, don't fix it.

German servers started to use more barb spawn settings and extremly fast building barbs, so when it comes to first nobeling, many barbs have more points than the players. Having loads of barbs certainly would make it high performance, as a lot more players would have the chance to get to 5+ villages and therefore making any fights a little harder.

Luck not configurable i kinda expected but might aswell still ask.

2 village spawn was also a setting .de world 200 had, also gives more varity in how players play the early game, could also be interesting.

As high performance rounds need extreme activity of the accounts that play to win, i think it would also be very nice if the team gives out several possible configurations for discussion and voting.

Hopefully recruitment to the ingame staff goes well.

Thanks everybody for your feedback! We will take this feedback and see what we can come up with that works - we can't please everybody, but there are some clear themes that we will try to be agreeable to. At present we're looking at a high barbarian spawn/growth rate world, with some small but hopefully highly impactful settings tweaks that should keep the game high-performance right up until the end.
