In the Realm of Shadows, there are no such pleasant things called Hugs. Instead the shadows snare your body and hold it as if it was wrapping around you. Then it you feel nothing, no pain, no comfort, no love, nothing. We call that an Intrasi Hold. They can last to few minutes to decades. People who are caught by it usually go insane by 3rd or 4th week and when that happens they feel it, they feel the pain, the comfort, the love, about every emotion that your hugging includes.

So forgive me, if I decline your offer to have a hug, I've been in one before for 50 years.

Just gonna build a massive defense in my vill and deny all invites i get. I do it on most worlds now, ftl. Sometimes i end up gifting my vill though, if i find someone i deem as worthy of it.
