improve "sleep mode"

Hello

I find motivation ( again ) to explain that it could be good to improve Sleep mode :)


Currently :
Most of worlds have "night bonus". It's good but not many efficient for limited co-plays (because we can noble in night bonus or also farm )
"Sleep mode" exist ( a mode where you can't go on your account at all ) and i think it's good, but there are big big shortcomings with it.
I'm The.Iron.Lady, winner of the 1st international tournament in co-play and also 3rd tournament so i can tell you that we could always noble players easy, even with sleep mode.
Now, even on casual worlds players ask for co-play, tri-plays, it's madness

"Sleep mode" will allow to sleep and just play with 1 or 2 players less than currently on the account.
( less co-players on the account is also more players on worlds, so more money for Innogames also )


But, sleep mode isn't perfect at all. For those who, like me, win worlds with that setting, you will know that you just need note the exact minute when you opponent go in "sleep mode" ( just refresh on map' ) and then it's quite easy to impact noblemen and nukes on the end of the "sleep mode".
( of course you can change the delay of sleep mode), but it's always 6 hours, or 7 hours, so it's really easy to coordinate with tribemates for timing noblemen and nukes each hour, so it's indefensible. we can't deffend well.

You go on the account, you see 40 noble in 2 minutes, how can you deffend ? you also see 40 noblemen in 62 minutes and 40 more in 122 minutes (bad rename also )

Solutions to improve sleep mode:
1- At the end of the sleep mode Innogames can add 1 or 2 hour where all the attacks only visit villages (no damage, no destroy , no lose )
2- put 1 or 2 hours of "night bonus" at the end of the sleep mode ( to help deffense )
3- allow players to go on the account even in sleep mode ( only for rename attacks, send support (for snipe) and see attacks incomings ) (maybe only attacks on your own village for take over but not necessary, there are tribemates also to do it )

Sleep mode is a setting for a better equity between players.

- For those who dislike "noob setting", where are you playing on international tournament world ?
- For those who want play all day long, why do you need co-plays, tri-plays ?
- For those who don't see shortcomings with "sleep mode" i encourage you to play a world against me, you will see how lose 30 villages in 1 second

maybe i'm wrong ? where ? but i think it's good
 
Approved for voting. I would also like to hear which of the three suggested solutions would be preferred. Maybe a combination? Maybe all?

Yea, this setting I'd say is pretty much unusable in worlds at its current state for all the reasons mentioned above.
There definitely has to be some hotfix to it in some way, even just updating the tribe settings of the incoming attacks to show the time when the attacks are arriving and not just the attack count would already help (would not be a perfect fix by any means but it is what it is)

There could also be some sort of "auto renaming" feature because realistically, who cares about renaming attacks, you just have to be online at the moment and you rename them normally just like anyone else, there isn't any skill cap in renaming attacks, its just one more "mechanic" that reinforces the need for accounts to be active 24/7 which is lame (unrelated to topic->) [and the game itself could have many more active players and people playing alone on their account (many people decide to not play worlds at all, like me, because there is absolutely no way i can play to the best of my ability alone because i am human and have to sleep obviously) if more automatic features were introduced because it gets to a point where the game itself becomes repetitive, things like scavenging are literally always the same thing, using balancer and the balancer feature in AM is terrible, etc] and having something that just does that by itself would help a lot in this case
(there's a problem with that that is the fake trains i honestly don't know how that could be fixable so i guess this would never happen)

I agree with the 1-2 hours after visit, but how long would a night bonus last on a world? 6-10 hours and with like a 24 hour interval every day you have to activate it? That would make worlds so much longer and it would make it basically impossible to coordinate attacks and those two hours would definitely make that worse, so night bonus thing sounds better to me but the game would have to make it clear that the player is under night bonus, but if the game does that then players could easily exploit that to find out when the player comes out of sleep mode if they don't yet know


I don't know, I honestly don't know.
I really like this feature and I think its a good equity measure for sure, but in the state of the game, I honestly don't see how to add it or how to balance it to worlds, at least not to a perfect state... its definitely hard
 
To me,
Option 1 or 3 is the best

1- At the end of the sleep mode Innogames can add 1 or 2 hours where all the attacks only visit villages (no damage, no destroy , no lose ) (number of hours shouldn't be fix because it depend of world speed (more possibilities there are, more good it is to setting worlds )
3- allow players to go on the account even in sleep mode ( only for rename attacks, send support (for snipe) and see attacks incomings ) (maybe only attacks on your own village for take over but not necessary, there are tribemates also to do it )


Option 1 : you look that your opponent go in sleep mode at 1am because you see the black color on map and if sleep mode is fix to 6 hours, at 7am you see a white color for exemple that all attacks on him will make no dammage for him, so you plan attacks for 9am
Seems fair and good !!
Then, you know that he can go in sleep mode in minimum 14 hours for exemple, so you have 14 hours to noble his village
But during that 2 hours (for exemple) that you can't have dammage, would be great if you can't send attacks anymore (or just on your own village) and no farming (otherwise players will attack at that moment and opponent can't take over )

I need explain it with developers I think ^^ :rolleyes:


Option 3 : would may be good also. maybe perfect also. (if there are no farming, can't send attack. Only the possibility to deffend 1-2 hours before the sleep mode end !



The Only thing it's sure is that WE NEED improve that setting.
We can't forbid co-plays, and we can't have 4-5 coplays on each account like Duck ;):p
We only can reduce coplay with good setting

1 - this essentially just extends the sleep mode. I don't think this should be implemented.
2 - this feels like a good solution to improve the usefulness of sleep mode
3 - if you can log into your account without being attacked, you need severe limits to avoid it being abused. I would say, any troops being sent out can only be sent as support, and then only to your own villages. Attacks should be entirely blocked imo.

I like the concept of improving the sleep mode. I just think the one which is fairest is option 2...the third one in particular feels like it would need extreme limits to make it work in a fair way that isn't open to abuse that ruins the fun of the game.

No. you never see sleep mode, because you can schedul it. You can put a maximum of 12 hours, you also can put a maximum of 2 hours of sleep mode. So 2 + 2 = 4 hours.
It's for send snipe, rename and prepare take over for defense

With night bonus x5, you can profit of night bonus too attack and noble when other can't attack yoou back

Of course attacks must be blocked, farming blocked also (only snipe, juste rename attacks, send support, see incomings)
