*Streamlined the codebase by removing the Political Map, allowing us to focus on more frequently used features.

How is this a improvement? You can choose to have it or not to have it.. I dont see the problem on having it there, how is this in the way for you to focus on frequently used features? its just a small button to pop and choose your political map.. I'm sure im not the only one who is frustrated about this.
Havent this been since day 1? atleast from 2011 when i started. Map aint the same anymore, sadly.

No there are quite a lot upset on my local server.
it should be very easy to program something.
I know how they make it now they did a terrible job, but this can be very easy.
Not gonna lie first time I read it I thought it was a april fools message
