Yeah to be honest I would just aim for a market and make a ridiculous offer that no one will accept, and just hold it there if that makes sense. As Unknown.Entity said, markets are literally free haha.

I don't understand what you're getting at here. It doesn't matter if other people are recruiting alot of spears or not. That doesn't effect whether your own iron is building up. And since you suggest that you more spears than most, that would mean that your iron should/would be building up more than most people.
