Afraid so. This is plain annoying, clearly Tribal Wars is about stupidly LARGE FAMILY wars, getting as many NAPs as possible and creating the biggest alliance to impress and woo in new players. For instance, the "You mess with us, we'll throw 12439 players at you with average 500 points and a single village. We clearly rock !" mentality is killing me !
