Stubborness won't get you too far.
As with most of the better players, trial and error is a longgggg process learning this game.
Try to find someone experienced as a mentor, Bo would be an excellent choice.
You seem able to pick up on stuff fairly quickly, keeping in mind that most top players have played and learned this game over a couple years.
Playing this world may give you a good start/learning opportunity; but unless you are VERY lucky, I wouldn't expect to get too far.
