Revised TW Guide Library.jpg
Hello Tribal Wars. We have New Game Guides!

New Guide Information
Greetings Tribal Wars players.

The original guide links were dislodged when InnoGames migrated over to new forum software. I had a choice to walk away from the mess or step in and be a part of the solution. I undertook the project to rebuild the libraries and help our gaming community. Lets hope the forum links do not break again.

I used the original rating system DaWolf85 created to rate articles here as I did not want to change a good system. Its been a lot of work, and fun reading every guide over again. I went through every posting and modified their ratings to match current times. Sadly, some of the links in the old guide were not recoverable and have been take out of this new guide. In addition to fixing the links to each guide, I added and rated guides that were created since the original posting. This guide should be bookmarked and on your quick bar as it links to every good article in forum.

As a tribute, I left a link to the original posting created by DaWolf85 for without his hard work this new library would not be possible. Most of the links in the old post do not work but you can view comments made from other players. There is also a work around you can do to reach most older articles. Original DaWolf85 guide posting

Happy Gaming!

Disclaimer
This is simply a guides library. I do not own the rights to any guides that are not my original work. If you do not want your work listed here, I will remove it upon request. If you have issues with a guide listed in this library, please contact the guides creator. I am not responsible for issues resulting from use of any work linked in this library. Comments on articles are welcome as long as they follow forum policies.

Accessing older articles
There is a fairly simple workaround to reach old articles.

Take for example this link, which is broken and gives a 500 Internal Server Error: https://forum.tribalwars.net/showthread.php?t=6827

Then we look at the thread from which that link was taken: https://forum.tribalwars.net/index.php?threads/guide-library.197546/

Now, to access the old thread, it is as simple as taking the second link, and replace "/guide-library.197546/" with "6827".

This will in turn auto-complete the link into: https://forum.tribalwars.net/index.php?threads/beginners-guide.6827/

Guide rating system
Each guide is rated on a 0-100 scale. Anything below a 70 rating did not make it into the guide list. So, if your wondering why something is not here, I either missed it or it did not rate high enough. If you have an article you would like rated (>70) and placed in this guide then send me a forum message. Here is a breakdown of the original rating system created by DaWolf85.

Ratings System

A. Content
35 point's max
Usability of guide. How well does it teach/help you? Does it go into depth or give a surface idea? Was it understandable, did it require multiple readings to comprehend information?

B. Formatting
20 point’s max
Readability of guide. Did it use proper (or at least understandable) spelling and grammar? Did it define all new terms? Was it organized coherently?

C. Accuracy
25 point’s max
The method/strategy article described. Does it work? Are there better or equally good methods/strategies, and if so, are they explained? Does the guide explain the context in which the strategy is used?

D. Date
20 point’s max
Is the guide up-to-date? Are all numbers, units and buildings inclusive of all new elements (or is it explained why not)? Are any screen shots understandable while using the latest version of software?

Last rated: March 26, 2017
Ability level: Advanced
Words from a World 1 player, “We learned to work together as a team that made us some of the best.” This, next to spending time in game is the key to Tribal Wars. Overall rating: 80/100

A. Very detailed and explanatory. Goes over setting up scripts, backtiming, stacking, sniping, pre-nobbling, and more. However, certain things should be in their own guides. 30/35

The organization is somewhat confusing, due to the length. Premium and non-premium defending really should just be separate guides. At very least, it needs spoilers - lots of them. 12/20
C.
Goes over premium and non-premium defense. All of these are extremely useful, accurately explained methods. 23/25
D.

Basic information for new and older players. Article was almost the first publish guide way back on world one. Much of the information here is still applicable for our modern Tribal Wars worlds.
A. Topics in guide still worth reading are; Activity, faming, defensive strategies, nobbling and tribes. 28/35
B.
Way to long. Would be nice to have working spoilers. 10/20
C.
Very old article but many points are still relevant. 20/25
D.
Guide is out of date on much of its content. However, 14/20

Basic information for new and older players
A. Keeping building queues going is sound strategy. Goes over pre-game prep, networking to meet people, and reading forums. Some minor aging but still good guide. 32/35
B.
Better organization and working scripts would help. Spelling is good. 16/20
C.
Accurately states that having 100% offense or defense is not sound strategy. Some older content but still good stuff. 22/25
D.
Guide shows some aging, but is mostly sound and good to get in your repertoire. 15/20

Topics are more about character and attitude needed to play any game.
A. Good points to read are; Co-leading (Does not work), perseverance, commitment, standards, pride, and organization, which is a must have for any player or tribe. 27/35
B.
This guide is slightly confusing at times but generally understandable. Heading does not match content. The spelling and grammar are not the best, and this does detract slightly from the readability of the guide. 13/20
C.
Should have introduction area. This guide is good general advice for playing TW. 20/25
D.
Guides content is hard to go out of date. 20/20

“Before you jump head first into the world, like almost anything in life, you have to take some time to set your priorities, your short term goals and your long term goals.” Those who do not plan, plan to fail. “I repeat again, idling is a waste of potential, and thus efficiency.” Never sit doing nothing in this game as you will not last long.
A. This guide is well-written, and does a good job of explaining itself. Goes over short and long term goals, limitations (resources and time), and has some good general tips (point 6). 32/35
B.
Well written. Better organization of his thoughts would help. Spoilers are broken and not authors fault. 15/20
C.
"Much of the first few sections can generally apply to a lot more than just TW. That says something about the accuracy of your advice. This is a very good guide to efficiency and has a lot of useful stuff in it." 25/25
D.
Working spoilers and better organization would help. Some information might be dated but overall the content is timeless. 17/20

Hope all you are enjoying the guide library!

I had to create a second post as the forum software does not allow articles with more than 40,000 characters. Here is the link to the new posting created by Nemesis123. Enjoy.

Great information on noble trains and fakes.
A. Great information on proper noble trains and fakes. Covers brilliant anti-sniping concept. 35/35
B. Well written article but somewhat disjointed due to being saved as graphic files. 17/20
C. Faking is the most underdeveloped area of Tribal Wars game play. Article does a good job covering key points but does not give example used with a noble train. 21/25
D. Data still relevant. Could use update but doubt that will happen. 17/20
