*Shrug classic noob nuke :icon_rolleyes: (in the report...)

I haven't played early world for a while, my mid/late world nukes are 6088axe 3300lc 50sc 250ram 10cat, fast build, good strength, ma are a waste of time once the world progresses :icon_rolleyes:

Build specialised nukes later for specialised defences ie high lc for cat stacks etc

good player. also want to watch for your ram and cat builds. i normally go for somewhere similar to that. however, you will learn from early worlds that as it progresses 250 rams just wont cut it. my tribe on W40 is in a war that will likely decide the winners (almost exact settings to this world). we go for 500 rams and some cats to ensure that wall lvl gets downed, because lets face it. people at that end game stage stack heavy. 250 rams isnt going to knock that wall down quick enough for your noble trains to survive. 500 rams gets it done later on. ;)

I would even go as far as 1000+ rams if I knew the village was going to be stacked.

I played around a bit with the sim and high ram nukes, the balance is getting the numbers right as when the ram numbers are too high your nuke lacks offensive strength so they get killed off without damaging anything much

@Edward I have the sims saved as screenies on my laptop, will pm them to you when I am back on it :)

I love it when someone brings up the "uber ability" of pure arch against nukes w/out ma.

First off a good def or off build isnt just what has the best strength its also what builds in a reasonable amount of time. And on a speed 1, 20k arch takes just over 64 days to finish.

Then run the sim a standard'ish nuke (6k axe, 3k lc, 250-300 ram) vs 20k arch. Without considering luck w/20 wall def loses 36%.

So the loses doesnt seem bad for a 1 vill vs 1 vill fight. Then consider that the 7.2k arch that die take 23 days to replace, when a full nuke can be replaced in 14 days. So the def loses will take almost twice as long to replace 1/4 of the pop value. I would make short work of that def.

there is no point focusing on 1 specific type of DEF to help you out i find you need a good blend of all 3, (4 if you count HC).

If you go all SP, I send more axes

Go all SW, I send more LC

Go all AR, I send more MA

just a case of adapting to it.

DEF wise i usually take 6-7K of each DEF per DEF village its all round and somewhat effective

If you plan on clearing out a village just scout him and adjust accordingly.

I just mentioned that including MA into a nuke is useful against archers.

Can't find anywhere where it says pure arch with uber ability.

I think if I found a pure arch DEF i'd create a pure MA nuke just to rub salt into his trampled wounds...

2 cats can actually take out a rally point or academy. 10 is just to make sure it goes down if they defend against your attack... or to mess with their smithy or farm :icon_twisted:


But my nukes once I get going are 7500 axes 2500 lc and 300 to 500 MA with 250 rams 10 to 25 cats... then with the left overs I tend to mix it up to have effective variations against different defensive types.

The nuke I always use is
4000 Spear to kill all of the Heavy Cavalry,
4000 archers to kill archers, and
4000 swordsmen to destroy the walls.
I usually have about three thousand scouts as well, so I can make sure I get the scout report.
I only have about 17 rams, because each ram can take out a building, I don't need hundreds...it's a waste

There is no defensive village that can defend against this, so I recommend it highly.

*I forgot to mention that you need to have a church in each village, and all the villages up to the top level, so your troops fight better.

They are being serious. Their nuke suggestions are highly effective -- perhaps you should simulate the battle in order for you to fully understand their offensive power...

Make sure that in your simulation you include the following:
Level 0 wall (the swordsmen will bring it down from level 20 to 0 easily, so there is no point in asking the simulator to do worthless work.)
Include enough defensive troops to completely cap a level 30 farm (obviously you want to see the amazing potential of such a nuke!!).
prioritize the defensive troops so they have the best chance of defeating the opponent. I suggest roughly 20,000 axes....(for obvious reasons, axes are excellent fighters!)
Add 100 archers to sweeten the pot... *rawr*

You will be so impressed by this nuke you will use it time and time again.
