Offensive/Defensive Nukes Discussion

id say 3000 hc would be a big hc for that purpose. i would think other units might be better suited but i guess it would have to be swords for the sreason your looking at.. defend and attack.

i see alot of people question HC ....? WHY?

they are basically superman versions of swords.

In a world like this one with archers i run something along the lines of

5100 spears
5100 archers
1600 HC

the numbers might not add up if you do the math cause i didnt check the exact numbers...it might be more around 5103 or something like that and a few less HC....

Not really the most efficient time wise though. There's a good 100+ hours difference between Rax/Stable queues (i.e. stable finishes 100+ hours earlier). My usual D would consist of:
4921 spears
4000 archers
2k HC

It doesn't take long to build, and still kills off a decent amount. :3

My O/D builds vary though, it'd be boring having the same build all the way through. ^^

i think ur build could be better, try this

7k spears

5k swords

1.5k HC

takes a bit longer to fully build but u'll always have HC to stack with.

First of all I only read the first post, nothing else, so don't flame me for not knowing something that's been said. :p

I saw this and decided to test some builds to see what I could get.

The defense I came up with:
6535 Spears
2000 Archers
100 Scouts (Just to keep it the same as what you have)
2000 HC

This takes 9 days, 5 hours, 28 minutes, and 18 seconds to build. (Speed 2 world)
Your's takes 8 days, 22 hours, 20 minutes, and 21 seconds to build.

This is a difference of 7 hours, 7 minutes and 57 seconds. Not all that much in the long run.

Here are the results to how it did against your nuke along with your defense:

defense.png

As you can see, you lose more troops/resources, and your build takes more resources to build.

Resources used to build my defense: 931,750 wood, 561,050 clay, 1,387,350 iron
Resources used to build your defense: 981,450 wood, 586,650 clay, 1,453,050 iron

My build costs 49,700 wood, 25,600 clay and 65,700 iron less than yours.

When nuked, you lose 101,680 wood, 57,610 clay and 144,510 iron more than what I lose.

On top of all that, your wall is downgraded to 7, while mine is only downgraded to 8.

Now for the rebuild times...
Mine rebuilds the losses in 7 days, 3 hours, 13 minutes and 46 seconds.
Your's rebuilds the losses in 7 days, 11 hours, 30 minutes and 35 seconds

That's a difference of 8 hours, 16 minutes, and 49 seconds.

So... as for the 3 things you mentioned:
Speed: Your's builds faster initially, while mine rebuilds from losses quicker assuming it was only hit with 1 nuke.
Efficiency: Mine kills more for it's build.
Versatility: They both have the same versatility really.

Anyways, I hope I inspired all of you! :p

First off may i say yes you did inspire me, yes i was extremely bored waiting for some farm runs to return on en47 and yes i can be extremely OCD when it comes to efficient troop builds/timings. :icon_razz:

I took your build of:

6535 spears
2000 archers
100 scouts
2000 hcav
(20735 pop)
barracks finish production in 442 hours, 56 minutes, 36 seconds.
stables finish production in 420 hours, 56 minutes, 11 seconds.

Figured out my optimum build for such a population limit:
9111 spears
100 scouts
1904 hcav
(20735 pop)
barracks finish production in 400 hours, 58 minutes, 58 seconds.
stables finish production in 400 hours, 58 minutes, 11 seconds.

Thus when my build is complete you have:
90.53% of your barrack troops produced (2dp)
5916 spears (0dp)
1811 archers (0dp)
95.26% of your stable troops produced (2dp)
95 scouts (0dp)
1905 hcav (0dp)

My build:

I go by the theory that war is about how many troops you can rebuild to field, when you're on the frontline it's the most important thing.

To go further by utilizing the workshop:
7100 spears
100 scouts
1479 hcav
461 cats
(20735 - 72 (for workshop 15) = 20633 pop)
barracks finish production in 312 hours, 39 minutes, 11 seconds.
stables finish production in 312 hours, 38 minutes, 10 seconds.
workshop finishes production in 312 hours, 06 minutes, 51 seconds.

Thus when this build is complete you have:
70.59% of your barrack troops produced (2dp)
4613 spears (0dp)
1412 archers (0dp)
74.15% of your stable troops produced (2dp)
74 scouts (0dp)
1483 hcav (0dp)

Sorry i couldn't be bothered to print screen and upload the simulations, but looking at the results may show that there really is no perfect universal troops build, it all depends on how much time you have to build, move and stack troops and of course, what offensive build your attacker is using. The small differences shown in the results of the simulations will be significantly increased when stacks and multiple villages are brought into play, resources mean little at a stage of the game where most villages have res pits high enough to support constant production in all troops buildings as well as spare for coins and building queues. :icon_wink:
