Hello Tribal Wars Community,

I started this library three years ago to collect in a single location, a record of PnP. For those unfamiliar with the term, it stands for Politics & Propaganda. This has been a major feature of worlds, one that shapes outcomes of wars and alliances. For those who participate in this timed tradition of Tribal Wars, it is an art. Sadly, it is one that is dying. I hope that this library offers members easier access to some of the classics, and maybe others they never heard about. Perhaps it will inspire a new artist on a world to come. I have left the original foreword I wrote three years ago, as well as a few of my own contributions. I am but a librarian, but I hope you enjoy the hard work of so many posters that left us these treasures.

Enjoy,

Jace/Javanshir

PnP Library

[spoil]There are guides for making good PnP but it still remains one thing commonly lacking on new worlds these days.

As a new member I read the guides like Harb's but I learned much more from reading examples from Harb, Hybrid Soul, and Noir.

Here we could possibly compile a list of PnP's organized by contributors. I will start with listing mine but by no means am I suggesting I am on par with those I have just named.

Those that would like to be included can PM me a link or post here and maybe we can get a good list going.[/spoil]

I know! I tried finding it yesterday but got too busy to dig through the forums.

That was one of the first PnP's I ever saw, loved it!

Ah you PM-ed me to find you a list of PnP's to add, I'll just respond here.

I've gone through some threads I've enjoyed in the past.

To begin with I should warn you, I am extremely shallow and self indulgent and shall begin with my own threads :icon_wink:

Pervis:
Declaring Wars:
Back To The Grave . . .
Satisfaction Guaranteed . . . .
The Antics Of The Inferior

Declaring Victory:
Dirt . . .
Kinky declaration of victory . . .

Averting a Gangbang:
Who wants to join a gangbang? - A guessing game

And my personal favourite, Making fun of People:

MCD – War Machine !!??? !
A Note to Fallen40 . . .
Mr. Smith00 - - - A Lonely Heart (Redux) (This one is something that back in the day we used to call character assassination - I don't think it gets used much these days)

Now other than these theres some excellent posters like devil667/Lara.Croft, Slytown, Lokinder, Jester and Vpar2 that I used to love reading threads by.
Hang on lemme look them up.

Vpar2:

=SK=, propaganda, and W30.
Player Profile: Gladiator/Arra Swords

In my experience of him, vpar was always a subtle and polished propagandist with his tongue planted firmly in his cheek. He tended to be very soft spoken and carried a big stick in-game.

Lokinder:

A tale of, "Oh no."
The Killed Angels -- ESL against TKA;
ES Lords and the ever expanding war.

Lokinder just had an awesome way of writing that could make what would otherwise be relatively small events should like ground shaking shifts in the status quo. I'd enjoy just reading his writing so much, half the time I'd forget about the point of the thread.

Jester:

Another War announcement.

The above thread was the benchmark for PnP quality for a long long time. Jester played on the biblical format to make the declaration sound epic.

Next up I'll try and find stuff by Mattcurr, Devil667, Uritel and Jpholman

Lokinder always had a way with words. He could turn dirt into gold haha.

Devil667/Lara.Croft:

SFA & NOPE Vs. 300 and family
Random . . . And We're Rollin
RANDOM Merge[Official]
GHOST BUSTERs
Random

And - THIS - is how you use pictures in PnP, take notes before you google image something and copy paste into a thread. Devil was always on a positive high using colourful language and crafty personalized pictures to get his point across to the adoring masses.

Jpholman:

The more things change, the more they stay the same...
JPohlman's Art of War, volume 1; Objectivity.
JPohlman's Art of War, Volume 2; Survival
JPohlman's Art of War, vol 3: Accountability
[THE TV] Decision on Hammerin' (This is unique because its a video declaration - the first I'd seen of its kind)

JP was very similar to Lokinder in that the could walls of text and you'd just engrossed reading it and not get bored. Also he had a sly sense of humour that I for one really appreciated.

Slytown:
W19 Magical Mystery Tour
BREAKING NEWS!!: Magical Mystery Tour CANCELED!!!

Slytown's threads are mainly war declarations with pictures Laura or Killa photoshopped and some awesome stats by XLR. Theyre fun to read.

On a separate note Javanshir, I appreciate what you're trying to do, i think this sort of library is quite helpful to the forum community. What I'd request is to have some sort of quality control mechanism or peer review board on skype that weighs whether threads are "good enough" to get into this library. It helps maintain the credibility of the library as an archive of classic threads.

I've always maintained that ESL's Red October is the greatest declaration of all time.

It isn't flash, it is far from long (brevity is the soul of wit), but it is incredibly poignant. It was the final charge of a much loved and well respected tribe as they selflessly took the flak for their allies mistake.

Who would be interested in the review board?

I don't feel qualified to make such decisions lol

Aaqib how about Killion's W39 comics?

Killion81 always had epic paint skills:

Not my best work, but it made me laugh and I don't feel like redoing it. So...

Edit: The opinions expressed within are solely the opinions of the author, not necessarily the tribe. Any likenesses to real tribes are purely coincidental as the characters portrayed are fictitious.

This is for the whole UN family! Big huggelz guys, good luck bringing peace to the world. ;)

This is a special extended release comic. Regular strip will run weekly (hopefully).

Ugh, do I really have to explain this? ID has been contacting Bunny and DARK4H to try and team up against Random. This is, of course, after having joined the world expressing a sole interest in going after Random. There is the history. Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.

Yes, I know you're not REALLY going anywhere. ;)

There is still tons of PnP to be found in W60. Just check the first 1-3 pages for quite a bit. Even a surrendering PnP!

Any of it good?

I'd be genuinely happy to see a quality PnP produced as late as W60, these days the quality of "propaganda" has become quite abysmal
