Premium farming guide

Alright gang, here is my little guide to uber farming. It's pretty simple and if you have questions please mail me. Also, feel free to post it in your forums or anywhere if you so choose, but give credit where it's due.

Prereq's

1: At least 200 scouts.
2: Lots of troops.
3: basic scripts.

Alright, lets begin. First off the best way to go about this is to go over the scripting part first. Here we go.

Scout scripting:

1: Go to Farm finder and set up for farms.

a: select world
b: Select show barbs
c: select script output
d: put in your cordinates.

Now, and this is very important so pay attention, figure out how far out you want to farm, generally I do up to 10 blocks away. So select from 0-10 blocks.
Got it? Cool. Now "copy" that script output and put it into notepad.

The script output looks like this:

Searching for farms on World 45 in between radius 0 and 10 with center in 713|591 .
Minumum 26 points... max points 12000 ...

Alright do you see where the cordinates are? That is all the villages you will be "scouting". Just copy and paste those cordinates you got from the website and then hit backspace 2 times to make sure the ' is right up against the last number.

THE MOST COMMON MISTAKE IS TO HAVE A SPACE BETWEEN THE LAST XXX|XXX '.
MAKE SURE IT LOOKS LIKE XXX|XXX'

The section that looks like this:

Is the section your manipulating for troops. it's broken down like this.
Spear= Spear
Sword= Sword
Axe= Axe
Spy= Scout
Light= LC
heavy= HC
Ram= ram
catapult= cat
archer= archer
marcher= MA
snob= noble
knight= pally.

Basically if I want to send 4 scouts I'd put 4 into the spy area instead of a 0.

Now, what this does, is it lets you scout, at random, all the cords you put into your script.


2: Here's how it works.

a:First, you need a premium account to use it effectively
b: you go to settings\edit quickbar and add a new link
c: copy and paste the entire link and put it into the "target URL" Section.
d: Name it.
e: at this point go to your rally point and click the script, it should automatically populate 4 scouts and cordinates into the screen.
f: Hit the attack button, then hit ok.
g: Rinse and repeat until all scouts are used.
h: go to your reports area and move all scout reports with a decent amount
of resources to the archive area for quick farming.

THE SCRIPT WILL OCCASIONALLY DOUBLE UP ON CORDINATES, THAT'S FINE WHEN YOU ARE DONE SENDING EVERYTHING JUST CANCEL THE DOUBLES AND DO IT OVER AGAIN TILL YOUR ARE OUT OF SCOUTS.

Basically, do this every morning and you can send exactly what you need to effeciently farm the scouted targets. Keep in mind 50 LC=4k resources. So send 50 LC and 4 scouts to a village with 1333/1333/1333 in resources. You will get every last shot.


Now, onto farming scripts! First off, if you are using LC/axe you have to factor in if you have other villages/tribemates near you. Basically if you have another village 3 squares north of you, the script for your southern village should farm south of it so you don't over farm. Alright, lets get this started.

Go to [urlhttp://spole.pbf.hr/tw/farm_finder/index2.php]Farm finder[/url] again and set the cords to go from 6-10 blocks for LC and all the same settings as before.

For axe, set the cords to go from 0-5 blocks. If you do this, your axe will only farm within 1.5 hours and have plenty of choices for farming, and your LC will do the same. Basically you can check back every 3-4 hours and resend everything out again. Nice hunh?

Now back to the script. Put in the cords as needed for axe/LC and make sure to add 4 spy (scouts) to everything. A good thing to do is to have 20 LC/250 axe per 1k points. So if you are farming stuff that is 2k points, you'd put in 40 LC or 250 axe. This will make it so you won't lose any troops if their wall is below lvl 4.

Once you have the scripts set up go to settings\edit quickbar and add a link. Put in the script and name it. now go to the rally point and click the LC script. It automatically puts in the LC you added and a random cordinate. Same with the axe.


Now that you have all the tools to farm efficently, here's what you do to farm like crazy. When I get 5k points I farm on average 200-300k a day per village, so pay attention! When you log on for the first time proceed as follows.

1: go to the rally point and send out all LC/axe
2: when this is done, send out all your scouts via scripts.
3: in about 3 hours when you log on, go though all reports that are green/yellow and anything with good resources should be moved to your archive folder and renamed with the amount of resources in the village.
4: Next, move all your blue folders with good resources into the archive folder and rename with the amount of resources in the village.
5: Send out what you can to farm the places that are in the archive folder and send 10% more troops than you need to collect all resources from a village in one trip.
6: make sure to delete all villages in the archive folder as you send out the clearing forces.
7: when they all come back, send out the LC/Axe via the scripts.
8: send out your scouts again until you have no more.
9: Make sure you have this script added to your quickbar. Name is "perfect farm" or some such name.

Basically, pour over those scouting reports once you get them all back and look for farms that have HUGE amounts of resources in them. Once you find a report with like 20k resources click the "perfect farm" script twice and a window will pop up. Click the script 2 more times and it will input EXACTLY how much LC you need to collect all the resources. If it's close enough, it'll use axe instead.

10: Rinse and repeat the whole process.

Lol. It's not meant for when you have a really silly amount of villages. It's to help out people with 10 vilages or less grow faster.

Oh, and I don't use this method anymore. It's too cumbersome with more than 10 villages. Also, if you read about it being step by step you'll realize it's geared for people newer to the game or new to premium. So stop hating. Haha

I have taught people who didn't understand offensive verses defensive villages to be top 20. Never did I attempt to show them something wrong, or ineffective because they were new. It is all the more reason not to form bad habits. I am not "hating" I gave an honest evaluation, the world isn't all lolly pops and compliments.

Given how many teaching tribes, and guides and explanations of the mechanics of this thread that I have posted, I think this post is quite funny. Lovely your tribe mate made a guide. Its garbage. And should be called garbage. I applauded the effort but if you teach someone how to add and tell them 1+1=98324987234 It should be pointed out how ass backwards the notion is. Good farming habits are a fundamental aspect of succeeding, and if you teach it improperly it should be said. As he said he no longer uses this method, so the real question is why is he teaching an improper method when he knows better?

And lastly this thread is about "Premium Farming Guide" no-one is hijacking the thread. We are in all honesty adding to the thread. Showing and speaking about how this thread would in fact be ineffective in its use. Something which the topic starter agree's with. The only off topic post, and really the least intelligent post here is yours. Then again given your size and growth in this world you probably just dont know how to play. I mean I have nobled more villages than you have in this world in a 5 day period.

A combination of an ounce of gray matter and a general concept of what 'bookmark farming' means is all that is needed.

I'm afraid I can't help you out with the former, but there is an abundance of mediocre publicly available introductions to the later.

Keep this in mind: the forums are pretty useless when it comes to disseminating quality technique, and in my opinion they should continue to be so.
If you need further help, find a mentor that knows the game well. Build rapport and demonstrate an ability to learn quickly. You will be amazed by how rapidly you can progress.

If you value your time, setup bookmarks. It gets a comparable amount of resources as powerfarming but takes 10% the time (if not even less). Especially on a world like W45 where build time is what limits you, not resource availability!

If your bookmark farming is not as effective as this method in terms of % yield you are doing something wrong. Now if that's on purpose due to time alright, but its not the method, which is ineffective it would be the way you are utilizing the method. I use a more effective way that bookmark farming when I'm not lazy though >_< Though that method is unpublicized as of now.

Book mark the command page use opera short cuts, press t cycle through 200 tabs. Its effectiveness comes from its ability to do it quickly, and its disadvantage comes from the time needed to keep it up to date if you fall behind.

And when you take out the village of origin from the link doesn't it just use the village you are currently on?
