Are you guys really that insulted by the words of others, that you have to report them? I'd hate to see what kind of lives you lead, and can only imagine you tell your supervisors, be it a teacher or a boss, about any insulting words to punish those people. Did your parents not let you experience the real world, and you are unable to deal with others insults? I can somewhat understand there are extreme cases, where something needs to be done, but I bet 95% of the situations don't hit that extreme. All in all, I'm just curious as to why people really report insults?

Here is my philosphy you want to treat people like they are below you deal with the consquences. If you insult someone and they report you shut your mouth because its your fault for being an jerk. You treat someone like crap they will it shovel it right back at you.

I understand the need for consequences, but not the consequences that we are talking about. If someone insulted me, I would attack them, take them out, and rim them. I wouldn't need an admin to solve problems I have with other people, just like I don't cry to my parents when someone says something to me in real life.

How about smaller members who are members who are being verbally harrassed by a big play. Shouldn't they have the right to get that person banned for harrassing them. Also in real life if you verbally assult someone you could lose your job, sued, and other serious effects.

I never said they didn't have the right, I just said I don't understand the reasoning. They need to learn to grow up, and accept what people say over the internet with a grain of salt.
Your example of real life also does not work. Like I said in my orginal post, there are extreme cases where consequences(bans/sued/fired) need to be present. However, if someone says my mother is fat, or that I am ugly, I'm not going to go out of my way to get this person punished.

Because its in the rules and the agreement upon playing that you will not send such. Whether you would report or not has no bearing on other players should they decide to report or not.

That's the problem with the world, people take words to serious. Making a racist /sexist/sexual orientation comment would fall under an extreme case in my eyes, and I can see why those would be punished. However, I can imagine that most of the reports that are sent in are for basic insults like, "you're an idiot." If you feel it your job to report people over such a trivial insult, then I'd hate to see how you are going to grow up.

While I commend you for such, fact remains rules are rules. We all deal with them in our everyday lives and probably thing some of them are completely pointless but we follow them none the less.

AGAIN, I understand that those are the rules. The rules are enforced by admins, but they are brought to their attention through the players. The whole idea of what I have been saying, is I don't know why players feel it neccesary to bring it to the attention of the admins.
And I find it insulting that you are calling me a hypocrite. Please ban this person.. (I'm just kidding, but see how rediculous it is?)
