I actually interpreted the way GiraffeNuke did as well. Although what you are saying certainly makes me think twice.
Morthy was quite clear that creating multiple accounts to gain a good starting position is banned, and he said that in conjunction with "players will not be allowed to choose starting location". What would be the purpose of disallowing the ability to choose starting location if they are allowing players to delete then immediately join under a new account? They would then, in essense, be allowing you to choose your starting location.
If you are right Pyker, then the settings/rules are contradictory. If GiraffeNuke is right, then the admin's words are contradictory. Hmmm, what to believe????
In the discussion thread, though, servy stated this:
Which to me says this is a stepped up penalty for an existing rule, not a new rule. The issue is to stop people from multying as the past punishments have not been much of a deterrent against people breaking that rule at the very start of the world.
Add to that that the statement from Morthy says:
Which doesn't specify any new rule, but rather in breach of the current rules. Please note: Players who create multiple accounts in order to get a better starting location are in breach of our rules and so will be banned.
The only rule dealing with multi-accounting is Rule 1, which states:
And that link is the link to the post from Lizy that I quoted earlier.Rule 1 said:Each player is allowed only one account per game world, with the exception of the account sitting feature. Sharing your password with another player on any world you play is forbidden. Legal ways of taking over a new account, on the same world can be found here.
To me, from what I have seen of how they generally interpret things, this means that deleting and then re-joining is acceptable, but not creating 4 or 5 accounts and joining with them all at once, then playing the one that lands with the best starting location, which would be a breach of rule 1 as always.
