Dear players,

The Tribal Wars team reviews their internal policies, rules and punishments on a regular basis. These policies, among others, define how the team acts against certain breaches and which punishments are applied. As the following change in policy is a rather noteworthy and impactful one, we will be announcing this change publicly.

Over the past years we have noticed that cheaters get away too easily with rule breaches that have a points reduction as a result. As villages are removed at random by the team, this may mean they can, in some cases, easily be captured back and therefore losing the intention of the actual punishment.

As of today (Nov. 4th 2020), applied to all rule breaches that have a points reduction as a result - gold coins will be removed from the account for the amount of villages that are being removed. This will mean that as of now you will lose the gold coins next to the villages as well, therefore making the punishment harsher and less easy to recover from.

For example:
- You currently have 500 villages
- You have gold coins for 600 villages
- You receive a 30% points reduction after a rule breach
- 150 random villages will be removed & 150 villages worth of gold coins will be removed
- You are left with 350 (500-150) villages and gold coins for 450 (600 - 150) villages

However, as we understand that this does increase the harshness of the punishments, we have also reviewed the punishments themselves. All point reduction percentages have been reduced to take this new punishment into account. Obviously, as always, we will not share the details of these processes to protect them against abuse, but the regular deduction percentages have been lowered.

We understand that this decision may cause confusion and might be shocking to some, but in order to help promote fair-play for everyone and discourage cheating as much as possible, we feel like this is a necessary action to take. Above all it is important to remember that we have the rules in place for a reason, and they are (without exception) to be followed. Only like this we can make sure the game remains enjoyable for everyone.

Kind regards,
Your Tribal Wars Community Management
