Dear players,

We will be starting world 143 soon and we would like you to contribute to the settings of the world. Below you will find three options*.

Pick your favorite and cast your vote. The choice with the majority will be set up for our coming world.

The poll will close on Wednesday October 9th and the settings announced during the following days.

* While it might be tempting to request a mix between the options, with a setting from one option transferred to a different option, (as an example Option B but with archers as in Options A), note that each option is balanced to work as a complete package. In this example case, archers with a 3-level smithy would change the game play in an way that would make it a different type of world completely.

We always welcome your feedback, don't forget to share it!

I'd suggest reading the opening paragraphwhich has the answer :)

"a different type of world completely" would of been nice...

Why is "Barb per Player" not listed, or is it because of the usual, that the early and mid-game of worlds are where "money gets printed" and not the larger more barb heavy worlds (ex: 137)?

So yeah, this feels like "We give you the psychological feeling of choice", not like a real choice  how very InnoGames of you

I'm sorry you don't feel you have a choice. To be fair, there dosen't have to be a choice at all, many servers don't offer any choices and are just announced. The last HP round we gave full votes on a load of settings (there's more scope to change things), this one a selection of preset ones. Some settings are restricted as may break the game if changed too much IE 5 barbs per player may result in the world dragging on after is well won. Think the game isn't like we remember it when first starting with every K filled, and unfortunately the settings can't really replicate that.

Can we get a speed game of 2.0
No, this world is going to be a 1.6 speed. This is due to needing to keep the settings varied to cater for different players & different strategies

Maybe not, but I have played this game too long for those arbitrary excuses of "Rose-Tinted Glasses", but you probably have a point that the Premium-Point Whaling of recent years has made world sizes not matter, as there will never be long term wars, as the whales simply grow too large now.
Aswell as settings are rarely skewed towards what "breaks worlds" and more towards what "breaks profits" when it comes to hardlocked settings.

I'd disagre generally when looking at settings we are trying to find ways to prevent what "breaks" worlds. With the exception of pp worlds. However if you wish to play pp free both HP and Classic are pp limited generally with only basic premium features. An example is the preventing sending support for 48hrs option when joining a tribe, makes flipping tribes harder and can leave that player at risk. Making it a riskier move to flip tribes.

I would play a regular world if it had limited PP features.
