SMALL change to the sitting rule

We have decided to update one small details aber the recently changed Account sitting rule. The rule itself is not affected by it, just the "technical part".

So far we have accepted different ways of proof that the sitter is allowed to give away villages. This however created a few problems:

  • When looking at the case the supporter had no easy way of finding out if there was proof. To really see that there isn't any proof, we would have had to go through the players mail to see if no proof was given by the sitter.
    (This is for one a lot of effort, and it is also "inappropriate". It is not our place to read the player's private mail unless there is a very very good reason to do so.)
  • We often have to ask the players before we take action, which allows more damage to be done before we can step in.
  • With the new mail system only premium players can archive messages.
  • Messages can be deleted, and this can cause issues to the players that DID have proof.
  • Cases aren't always 100% clear as the players bring on some kind of proof that they believe is valid but can't be accepted by us.

Therefore we have decided to allow ONLY support tickets as proof from now on. This means the original account owner HAS to send in a support ticket before leaving, stating in one sentense that the account may be gifted by the sitter. He should then please set the request to "done" right away. We don't need to read or answer those requests when they come in. If the person sees the request in his list of tickets, the request was send and he does not have to worry about it not counting.
Tickets are the safest way for Players and Staff. They cannot be deleted or changed by anyone.

This rule change will be in effect immediately, however, for gifting cases that have already been started we will of course accept the "ingame mail" proof as well. For this we will look at the starting date of the account sitting.

As some players have asked now, I'll "explain" how to send a ticket.
Just click on settings on the top menu. Then click on support request.
