If you DONT want to read all the paragraphs, then go the bottom paragraph and match up the Builds I say are the best by then scrolling up and seeing the troop numbers and build time. Then just read the other stuff if you don't understand something

Here's a list of Slow Defense Builds that I've compared to show which ones should be used and which ones shouldn't (I half-tested a few other one's and tossed them aside becuz they sucked that much); this is more or less the outcome of over a year's worth of testing out Nukes/Defs and compiling it all into words and numbers that everyone can understand :D Each takes almost a month to build (give or take 4 days) but holds more defense power than faster builds; obviously not the ever day every where Defense to build lol But if your core has the time and security to build them, then why not build a couple of these bad boys ;)

The Nukes and Defenses used below are both based on a 21K troop count. The Defense Build Time's are based on a lv 25 Barracks (didn't bother doing build times for nukes here, that's for another section later...). Morale is 100% and luck is 0% The Test Nukes used represent a good variety of Axes, LC, and MA typically used by many. The number of rams may not be as high or low as that which some of you build, but it has little to no actual effect on the actual performance of the Defense builds themselves as they compare to one another (plus was easier to calculate for me; as was the 21K farm space for both Defense and Offense).

The Actual Results are how each Defense performed against each of the 7 Test Nukes. It shows Troops Lost vs each Test Nuke, and the Lv the Wall was left at.

The Average Resutls are listed as results against the first 5 Test Nukes listed, then the first 6 Test Nukes listed, and all 7 Test Nukes listed. The reason for this is becuz it is less common to face HIGH Axe nukes and HIGH MA nukes. But they are there becuz they are plausible, and it is important to know how well rounded each build is. Within the first 5 Test Nukes lies a nuke with 1K MA, so the Average of the first 5 Test Nukes gives you a good idea of how the Defense Build will perform against regular nukes with MA, then the average of the first 6 Test Nukes will show if facing a HIGH Axe nuke will have a big impact on the Defense Build or not (in most cases it doesn't, if not in all), then the average of all 7 Test Nukes will tell you just how much of an impact a HIGH MA nuke will have on that particular Defense Build.

EDIT: I am NOT suggesting each and every Defense here be used, most are mainly for comparison reasons. The Builds I recommend using are discussed below, and if you're a number person you can see for yourself by looking at the different Results. Also, I believe the build times may be off by a few hours and I won't be adjusting them at this point (all of them are off by a few so it sort of averages out)

Average Losses vs First 5 Nukes = 12,432.4
Average Losses vs First 6 Nukes= 11,678.8
Average Losses vs All 7 Nukes = 13,010.4

As you can see, Slow Defense #5 and Slow Defense #6 have the better results out of the 7 Builds, with the first not having THAT much of an impact by a Axe/MA nuke and the latter one taking a much heavier impact by Axe/MA nukes (the best nuke against both is an Axe/MA nuke, but they don't obliterate either build, by far). I'd argue that its not THAT significant of an impact on either the 5th or 6th Defense build, but the 5th Defense Build holds the most versitily and well-roundedness than the 6th Defense Build and for that reason is the best Slow Build around (by rounding troops to the nearest thousand; messing with them to the nearest hundred or lower will just plain drive me insane. I myself will used both for my Slow Builds =]

Medium Defense Builds

Just like with the Slow Builds, the two Defenses that had the best results here are the 5th and 6th ones. And very much like the Slow Builds, the 5th Medium Defense Build is more well-rounded than the 6th one, becuz a Axe/MA nukes has a bigger impact on the 6th Build (No I didn't plan on this lol, learning what works best myself as I do these calculations). One last thing to note, the 6th Build is VERY susceptible to Axe/MA nukes and is only slightly better than the 5th Build against "normal" nukes, so I highly recommend the 5th Medium Defense Build over the 6th Defense Build (unlike with the Slow Build where either the 5th or 6th are pretty much good to use).

Also, the experimental medium def has outstanding results against a majority of these nukes. Unfortunately this last part is new so it hasn't had editing time put in so you'll have to judge for yourself which of these is more ideal for yourself.

The Defense Build Time's are based on a lv 25 Barracks and lv 20 Stable (didn't bother doing build times for nukes here, that's for another section).

The averages are listed as results against the first 5 Test Nukes listed, then the first 6 Test Nukes listed, and all 7 Test Nukes listed.

Also, I believe the build times may be off by a few hours.

Under normal circumstances I would say that Fast Def Build #1 is the best in the lot, but after some tinkering here and there I have to say that Experimental Fast Def #1 is the best Fast Def Build. Sure its more susceptible to Axe/MA nukes, but I think its performance against every other kind of nuke lets it pull its weight, but that is up to the individual. So basically, the first Fast Def or the Experimental one I put are the best Fast Defs (that utilize exactly 1.5K HC)

Fastest Def ingame

One last thing before I forget, before leaving W15 I recall proposing that I found the fastest Sp/HC ratio. So someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but this was my findings. Keep in mind this is solely based on time, and not on effectiveness (eventho it's actually not very different in effectiveness with other Sp/HC ratio builds)

9210 spears
1965 heavy
Spear Build Time: 8 days, 12 hrs, 40 mins
HC Build Time: 8 days, 12 hrs, 41 mins
1:4.68 ratio

This is based on a 21K farm space with lv 25 Barracks and lv 20 stable. Meaning if your farm space is LESS than 21K, then the build time will be less as well (so if your fast build builds in a week, so will this one becuz of your farm space).

Haha, I'll try and get on more. Its easier to just message me on a one-on-one chat and tell me to get into the chat, cuz I don't pay attention to it too much (laggy late messages and all).

And for anyone who has any questions about my guides (preferably none requiring the use of a simulator becuz I'm not in my account and I don't have prem), feel free to contact me on Skype, ID is strife97 just like here and ingame (I'm being sat ingame tho)

You didn't happen to build an offence guide, did you, because this one is awesome. =)

Not in such details, just a bit more abstract... I could tell you about some of my findings, would be easier if you posted or mailed me an example of what you think a "good" nuke looks like and I can go over its highlights and flaws. One thing i DIDNT do excessive looking into was the use of Cats, so most of my findings neglect them and prefer the use of Rams. I myself rarely used cats as an "ideal" nuke, they were just for bashing and crushing buildings, but when it came down to cracking through a wall on a stacked to heavily stacked village Rams was always the way to go for me.

If I had access to the simulator I could "prove" some of my nuke findings, but since I don't anything I'd say would have to be backed up by my previous findings lol =]

If you asked me for a Quick and Simple nuke that I myself used often and received many compliments for from players across worlds and over the span of 2 years (and who looked past the high number of rams and actually saw its good points), then I would go with this nuke:

5900 Axes
3200 LC
460 Rams

As always the farm space my troop numbers work with is a 21K farm space (which my account still has, which im sure my sitter will enjoy more than 20K or lower). I'm not sure on the build time but I know that with a lv 25 barracks, lv 20 stable and lv 5 workshop it's close to having all 3 buildings pumping out troops at almost the same level (i think the rams get out sooner, but going I remember not liking 480 rams as much as 460 so I stuck with that even if it meant using up an hour more on recruiting).

The only person who MIGHT be recognized somewhat well by name who liked my nuke from W15 was Cypher Rahl. I know that back when he was on W28 (think that was the right world), he used my nuke exclusively and often commented on how it worked wonders for his ODA =]

And oh whenever I ran into heavy archer builds I'd switch out 500 LC for 400 MA. The main time I did that was to balance out my wood and iron tho, but it was a still nice nuke to use when wanting to launch asap and yield good results.
