Teenage Influence?

Well, I was wondering about this for a while, and decided to put it to you guys.


I would like to know how many under 16's still play W14, who are relatively successful, and by that I mean are not in some academy on the rim with 4 villages.

As far as my tribe is concerned,

noone in ~OU~ is younger than 16 and only one is 14 in WOTB if i am correct. Jakester2. noone else

We are all old veterans tired of warring. :lol: We need fresh blood hahaha

Well, teenagers generally can only be active for a few hours, due to school and sleep. Add homework and social arrangements, and you can begin to see why it is hard for teenagers to run a tribe or manage 100 villages.

WOah! lol... thats Why I love home school, I am a good student, but do my home work as fast a can, the time a got left I play tw, and I go to bed at 3am, wake up at 8.. and run again the same day.

Honestly, I think the hardest part for teenagers would be paying for premium, and premium becomes more of a necessity as you increase in size. Sorry if someone has stated that already.

But I've seen 40+ year olds on this game who don't seem literate (which is important for diplomacy/leadership) and 12-14 year olds with a vocabulary that doesn't reveal their age. The same can be said for other virtues such as patience and having a clever tongue.

If hes like home school, which he stats he does then leave him be. If you don't like it, just keep it to yourself. Dam, people like you are the reason why public schools have such a bad rep.

We have at least two very successful teens in the Kraken family:
WhoLikeMe - 14 years, 1.9 million pts.
Lord Brutii - 16 years, 2.6 million pts.

Both are very intelligent, capable warriors that have proven themselves over and over again. We likely have others that I am not aware of.

I estimate that the average age of your tribe and its family is over 30 but youre so younger then your soldires.

Now, I don't want to pick points but the first post is rather steriotypical. I've encountered plenty younger members of the game who can put in the quality of time needed to play the game in earnest and still have a life outside of the game. There's nothing to say that a teen has any less free time on their hands than any adult. In fact I would say they have much more.

Then there's always anti-social people like myself who keeps their groups of friends down to a bare minimum. That's not to say I have no life, it's just to say that I prefer to spend my time in the company of a few and more often than not at home.

Now we go onto the speed of the world. The original poster suggested that a younger member of the game may find the slower worlds rather tedious which is, well, another steriotype. A younger person is not necessarily more impatient than an adult, I certainly wasn't when I was younger, so really that comment is quite baseless. Of course there are some that do find it tedious but I could count many more older gamers here that feel exactly the same. Impatience is a matter of personality not age.

I personally prefer slower worlds, cause I don't have to stress about my warehouse filling up while I'm in the middle of college. Slow worlds mean the warehouse is well-stocked when I can go on in the evening etc...
