Its logical to mail her through forums or similar. Putting up health matters may not be appreciated by the person, that is why its called personal.

I agree, asking if anyone has heard from her is one thing, but bringing up personal issues is inappropriate as it is unknown whether the person would want their personal health issues being brought up. A PM would probably have been the better choice or just leaving it at asking if anyone has heard from her.
