This is the true chronicle of King -It-'s rise to legend. Any other variations of this tale are mere hearsay and heresy, spread by those who would diminish the glory of -It-.

What began as a simple return to TribalWars after nearly a decade-long hiatus quickly (d)evolved into one of the most dramatic survival stories on W147. Starting on the rim near rank #1 player Caesarion and veteran player maddrick, -It- found himself caught in a web of conflicts and personal vendettas that would set the tone for -It- this incarnation.

The trouble started when -It-'s friend and soon to be co-player -TagTeamed (aka "dev") reached out to broker an alliance with maddrick, with dev unaware that maddrick harbored deep suspicions about dev's loyalty due to misinformation spread by other players, which resulted in this innocent gesture opening up old wounds and backfiring spectacularly. Although these suspicions were later proven unfounded, maddrick would rather double-down than admit he made a mistake.

Around the same time, Caesarion, the world's top player, noticed -It- and his allies on their rim and reached out with an offer of support. This could have been a major boon to -It-. But maddrick, nursing his unfounded suspicions about dev, intervened. maddrick whispered the lies about dev's loyalty to Caesarion, and now the path to greatness was apparently slammed shut. Not even mighty King Enea, supreme ruler of the tribe No Mercy could stem the tide unleashed by maddrick.

dev tried to clear his name but with no success, and with the help and sharp words from player weakness disgusts me (aka: "hazard"), the situation was turned from bad to worse, the result being an effective blacklist from all major players and tribes on -It-'s side of the world.

Any attempts to join established tribes were blocked, leaving -It- solo in an established world with strong power differentials.

The Rise of No Affiliation

Rather than accept defeat so early, -It- created his own tribe, No Affiliation, which became a haven for other solo players on the rim. The tribe's composition was as unlikely as it was effective. Former enemies became friends in an aim to establish some level of support structure.

This small band of players united mostly by circumstance experienced their first conflict within one week, when rvrl9 (aka "Rahul") from the local tribe The 300 began their siege on -It-.

The Rahul Conflict

The siege which lasted weeks began on 4th of July. -It- rallied support from No Affiliation to help defend and continued attempts at diplomacy and de-escalation, but to no avail -- attacks would not cease. And while No Affiliation members were liberal with their support to their Duke -It-, their support was not enough to defend against this larger foe.

So -It- needed a new plan. He required more support, but no local tribe would harbor him. -It- set his sights on a different tribe a whole Kontinent away, to the north, called NO NAME. After discussing with the Baron there, -It- made a deal to join and bring along a few of his tribemates from No Affiliation on the 10th of July.

The 300 Conflict

On the 14th of July, the Rahul Conflict evolved into The 300 Conflict.

Shortly after becoming a member of NO NAME, -It- found himself under assault by several members of The 300, most notably maddrick. Though their combined military might dwarfed -It-'s forces by a factor of about 25 to 1, their execution proved less impressive than their numbers would suggest. -It- quickly rallied support from within his new tribe, with much of the support coming from his previous tribemates from No Affiliation that he brought along with him, which led to many losses to The 300. Luckily for -It-, The 300 fought more like the Persians.

For the first time -It- had enough support to keep some of his attackers at bay... He killed so many armies that he rose to the front page on Opponents Defeated ranking in the entire world. For a few days -It-'s prospects was looking good, until on July 21st The 300 formally declared war on NO NAME, with the declaration of war reading:

Just seeing who is supporting IT all others will be left alone

Internal strife tore NO NAME apart when the Baron, swayed by -It-'s adversaries, expelled -It- from the tribe. All support was withdrawn from -It-, and he was back to defending The 300 with what little troops he had left. Ironically, the Baron of NO NAME abandoned his own tribe after dismissing -It-, which then led to its complete dissolution within 24 hours when the Duke of NO NAME disbanded this tribe entirely. The Baron's final message before leaving:

I decided to leave the tribe since I really don't want all the drama unfolding here. I don't want to keep doing this and get all the blame.
...
My last advice, prepare to defend your territory. For our allies, peace and happy hunting. To everyone, it was an honor to play with you guys.

Those who had supported -It- found themselves ostracized, also blacklisted from joining local tribes, until necessity forced them to seek refuge with -It-'s enemies. Now without a tribe and facing unrelenting enemies, -It- began to put together a seemingly impossible strategy which involved joining forces with a powerful tribe on the far side of the world. Perhaps the only tribe in the entire world that could help -It-.

Enter: The Trash Can Goblins [TCG]

The coordination required for this move was delicate (to say the least). Trash Can Goblins (TCG) needed to time their support to arrive just as -It- became eligible to receive it, which was a 3-day cooldown after joining the tribe. This tribe whose members exist solely on the opposite side of the world sent support to this new recruit, a commando deep behind enemy lines (represented by the blue pixels on the map below). For three long days -It- held the line against overwhelming odds and unrelenting attacks, defending his villages with nothing but a few spears and swords, his determination, and will to survive. While his enemies gave the orders to their legions of armies, -It- knew "there is a narrow way through".

TCG's reinforcements arrived, the number of incoming attacks on -It-'s villages dropped, and -It- emerged from the siege alive.

The Rise of King -It-

As word spread across W147, something strange began to happen. Players started referring to -It- not just as a survivor, but as "King -It-".

These pixels on the world map representing TCG's support became symbols. New recruits to TCG are told the tale by TCG's Front Line Trash, and these new recruits must swear an oath to protect them... at any cost.

Long Live King -It-!
