*Just trying to liven the forums again and practically a complete ripoff of the official NET awards*

The W80 Awards

Now that W80 is well over half a year old i think we've seen enough to determine who deserves some bragging rights

Rules:
-Voting is open now until January 6th at 0:00ST sharp, any votes after will not count
-Reasoning must be provided for you candidate or your vote will not count (it only has to be a sentence or two min)
-You don't have to vote for every award but it would be fun if you did
-Each poster can only vote for one person per category
-You cannot vote for yourself (you can however vote for your tribemates and tribe)
-Recipients of these awards can be given to any player/tribe from the past or present.

Tribe of the Year
Winner: Dest.
Reason: Dest. has definately had it's ups and downs but now i think Dest. is the best it's ever been. With the addition of some of Gents best and excellence leadership Dest has gone from the brink of extinction to containing an organized, extremely skilled, active and loyal memberbase. Get ready 2016!

The Tribe that came out of nowhere (or "Darkhorse" tribe)
Winner: SIN
Reason: What started as a small tribe on the rim blocked by Gents, quickly proved itself as one of the best tribes in the world. SIN has excellent leadership and members and was able to stand taller than the rest when they needed to.

Best Diplomatic Move
Winner: SIN/Dest. Alliance
Reason: This alliance was critical for the way the world was shaped and was a very smart move on behalf of both tribes.

Worst Diplomatic Move
Winner: Regime
Reason: For cutting off ties with SIN and denying dest. an alliance.... essentially lining themselves up for a gangbang

Biggest Letdown tribe
Winner: VIRUS
Reason: I was expecting a long war vs. turtles...... they crumbled in minutes.

Individual Awards

Player of the Year
Winner: Aldegrion
Reason: These guys are absolute monsters. Since joining Dest. much later than the founders, these guys lead our overall war caps by almost 40!!! Every war we have fought they constantly top the leaderboards and are absolute machines.

Attacker of the Year
Winner: Aldegrion
Reason: Rank 1 ODA and definitely not an account i'd want to defend againt

Defender of the Year
Winner: Zordos
Reason: Until recently, Zordos had successfully defended every OP and currently leads the ODD leaderboards

Best Farmer
Winner: Whendogsbite
Reason: 40x Plunderer, 21x Looter..... nuff said.

Most Improved Player
Winner: hodgy77
Reason: Not that he was ever a bad player, but hodgy has really stepped up since the creation of dest. and is now a key player in the war vs. regime.

The "All Bark No Bite" Award (A Player who's talk is bigger than their in-game abilities)
Winner: Thinblueline
Reason: Talked a big game about how he could beat Regime, but ultimately just hit delete.

Best Tribe Leader
Winner: CocoMajestic
Reason: Sara has always done what's best for the tribe and has impeccable judgement skills.

Worst Tribe Leader
Winner: Thinblueline
Reason: Brad had a tribe twice the size of the rank 2 tribe, yet somehow ruined it.

Best Team Player
Winner: Mortadella
Reason: From defending against most of Gents, to cat nuking Zordos' backline in the great war the Mortadella account has constantly stepped up as both an individual and as a member of leadership and is definately a play

Winner: Undead Billy Mays
Reason: For the majority of W80 UBM provided insightul posts constantly. His Blog was much appreciated by the W80 community and I hope he plans on continuing

Winner: OsoSerious
Reason: I've always found Oso's posts to be pretty unbiased and beneficial for healthy forum banter.

Best War
Winner: Ruffs(Dest.) and Regime vs. Gents
Reason: W80 has had a serious lack of exciting wars so far (at least from my perspective) and this is the only war that went consistantly back and forth for some time.

Worst War
Winner: Gents vs. MvDC
Reason: was this even a war lol

[OPTIONAL] Recognition Award (for if you feel someone deserves mention)
Winner: .WilliamWallace
Reason: Despite not being as large as the top 20 accounts and due to his core location growth is more difficult, Wallace has been a very important member of dest. since ruffs. He definitely packs a punch well above his weight class and deserves recognition for the hard work he's done.

Tribe of the Year
Winner: Destiny
Reason: Destiny was the final solution and to end the missery that Ruff was. going further back those in Destiny that originally was in sabre I believe has had the most challenges and the most war this world. Not as sure about how things were in control, but at the end of the day most if not all that are in Destiny at this point today really deserve to be there and to be in the rank 1 tribe. Destiny as a tribe is very solid in lots of different ways.

Reason:Cant think of any other options. Sin came out of nowhere and found their own way to the top.

Best Diplomatic Move
Winner: SIN
Reason:They prevented beeing on the wrong side of the 2 vs 1. they striked while the iron was hot and now they are the tribe beeing in a great situation.

Worst Diplomatic Move
Winner:Regime
Reason:I suppose. based on the fact they are now on the loosing side of things. having Destiny and Sin against them. so the bad diplomatic move in itself was rejecting and upgrating Destiny relations to alliance. Or alternatively allying SIN instead.

Winner: Zordos
Reason:Could be several players. but to give a little credit where its due Zordos gets this one. based on his resistance in Regime-Destiny. was handling things well and defended well for a long time.

Attacker of the Year
Winner: DVBBS
Reason:Everyone have been saying this whole world how passive this account has been. Critisizing it to the end of the world. In my oppinion they have just been playing it smart. first part of the world they provided a lot of help to tribemates, that wasnt visible to outsiders. in Regime war they have been very active in every way. so they deserve this

Defender of the Year
Winner:Zordos
Reason: Based on Destiny-Regime war

Best Farmer
Winner: DVBBS
Reason: Continously been farming well this whole world

Most Improved Player

Reason: dont know

Reasonas mentioned before she has a very big part in the succes of Destiny. And she was the light shining through the darkness of Ruff

Reason:Wasnt there when his tribe needed him

Reason:Always there when you need him. He is there when noone else is.

Reason:like him or hate him, but he did contribute with some actual content and not just GIFs as with some people beeing the only thing they can post and respond with.

Reason:I am sure there are a few. But for the moment cant think of someone. Most of the time forums this world have been pretty hatefull for different reasons .

Reason:Was a fun war for me personally to take part in. Regardless of what has been said in the past, Gents did bring some presure towards us.

Worst War
Winner: Bugz vs Regime
Reason:When the war started bugz were allready fighting Destiny or whatever the name was the current time. Had a lot of Defence at the Destiny/bugz frontline and therefore it was too easy for Regime to call it an actual war and was rather a masacre from the beginning.

Winner: Asura
Reason:Played both with those guys and against them. Both I enjoyed very much. They are very skilled and they are fun talking with even playing against them. no hate, just some friendly banter. Which was really nice to experience for a change and deffenetely made an impression on me.

Reason: Completely owned Gents in the southwest, once was a small tribe, but played their cards right and now own the south of w80.

Winner: SIN + Destiny Alliance
Reason: Good step towards endgame, and fighting a common foe together.


Worst Diplomatic Move
Winner: Gents declaring on SIN
Reason: We all saw how that ended up.


Biggest Letdown tribe
Winner: Regime
Reason: Is not putting up the stats they should be. They didn't recruit any new blood to replace their inactive members, and now are having to internals accounts while losing frontline villages.

Reason: Great team player, coordinated attacker, helps out tribemates/allies, and very skilled.

Reason: Huge lead on ODA score. Constantly smashing Regime frontline villages.

Reason: Put up a helluva fight against 3 tribes, and defended better than Regime has so far.


Best Farmer
Winner: WhenDogsBite
Reason: Their noblelimit makes me cry in the shower.


Most Improved Player
Winner: Gdm Shadow
Reason: Went from a barb nobler to a very powerful player in a few months.

Reason: Always saw him talking about how good he was, but didn't even bother fighting Regime, only internalled and noble barbs.

Reason: Constantly see her coordinating, and has a lot of respect.

Winner: Thinblueman (Brad)
Reason: All his CMs seemed to be written by an angry toddler, and did nothing but threaten people in those CMs, driving Gents further apart with each one.

Reason: He spent all day sniping trains when Regime was opping PNDK.

Reason: Successfully defended a tribe-wide op of Regime's which saw over 200 nobles dead. Any caps were successfully recapped. Absolute beast.

Winner: Mantonelli
Reason: Most people probably don't know who Mantonelli is, but my hat is off to Seth, he has gone from a small rim 'basher' to become a key influential player in the northern expansion of Destiny., recently joined. Working with him has been hugely successful, and I am sure that you will see a lot more of him in the future.
