If so what's the point of the paladin? That 10 pop is better used elsewhere.

but really
start up wise, pallys can help big time
game wise
it can help you send support asap, change speeds and all. General stuff like that which makes the game a bit more complicated

To send support at the speed of LC mostly. It's a lovely benefit. As a matter of fact the pally is only considered "useless" or not worth the 10 space at the point of having 1 offensive village before you noble and start building D. Before this stage he's extra farming. After he's faster support.

It is actually good that paladin weapons have not been activated in this world. ALready there is church and 250ms gap. A bonfire stack would be the end of it.

I really like the Pal weapons however, gives me a nice progression feel
