Nice thread - good to see something a little different on the externals.

I find it quite surprising how much of a difference there is, even among the top 20

(Based on the underlined part) Maybe you misunderstood the table, or maybe I misunderstand your post but...

This table only includes the top 20 players on points, which are then ranked on Points/ODA. As opposed to a table that ranks the entire world on Points/ODA.

I'm not surprised there is a wide range of ratios in this table. I think this table is trying to show who "deserves" to be in the top 20, based purely on ODA.

I guess the point of this post is, Why are you surprised at the difference? Could you explain a little more or are you too busy killing stuff ;)

how are you calculating the ratio exactly?

**UPDATED**


No huge increases/decreases in ratios or ranks. misteranonimous falls out of top 20 after heavy losses. We welcome Fabregas4 to the top 20 with a very healthy ratio of 9.19. Stewinthepot, Captain Drill and Killer Instinct all move up 1 position.

In the tribes TB! are now just 0.002 ratio points off leaders Wobble in first place after the recent op which has also moved TB!2 up to number 3.

I'd be more interested if you used the TWStats compilation of ODA, as it compiles tribe data based on the members currently there and would give a better measure of overall performance. Much of TB!'s ODA comes, for example, from members who have since deleted or been rimmed, and therefore we don't see the performance of the current members rather than how they built on their predecessors.

The same goes for Wobble, though the difference is not quite as dramatic. 8.34 or so for Wobble and ~7.6 for TB!.

Fair point, I did not realise that tbh.

I prefer this way though as it includes everyone that has been in the war. Just because they've quit doesn't make their contribution less valuable (plus it's slightly easier for me :p).

I believe they let them her duke because nobody else wants to try and save a dieing tribe, there all "too busy"
