The way I count it your 15*15 has 1 less barb and ~4 more free farms than mine. I'll tell you you don't need to clear to farm. You obviously disagree, and that's fine.

Mmm sure it can be unnecessary if you are happy with shite hauls from a handful of 26 pointers and barbs.

Right, first few weeks are full of peeps clearing each other for no particular gain to anyone but spectators.

Clear the right villages with minimal losses and you're fine, you also get new farms with better resource production, that's the gain.

Though if other peeps are clearing anyway, you have new farms to be sending your haulers to which you just reduced, even if by just 4 axes.

Clearly there are times and troop ratios when the gain outweighs the cost, players who have a good idea of what those are don't really have any need for this discussion, for the rest..
