Time has been spent recently to ensure that a single-approach is adopted by the Tribal Wars Team with dealing with accounts where villages are 'gifted' to friends/tribe members, particularly when they opt to depart a World. The
Rules themselves remain unchanged.
As is apparent and clear from Rule 7, accounts cannot be created with the intention of supplying villages to other players. This will remain forbidden.
That said, for an extended period of time now, we have heard different arguements to being able to keep villages within tribes/friends when resigning from a World. The most common arguements have always been that you, the players, have worked for those villages and deserve the right to keep those villages within your tribe. Well, there is no such right, but this post looks to clarify the way that the Tribal Wars Team will deal with such 'gifting' which has been a point of concern up until now.
-------------------------------------
The rules were amended some time ago to prevent account sitters (Rule 3) from 'gifting' villages to others, even if the sitter had been given the express will of the account owner to allow for such actions. The rule was written bearing in mind this desire, but preventing account sitters from fulfilling any such action themselves. This remains the case - only the account owner will be allowed to attempt to keep villages within their desired community.
To clarify further:
If you are the owner of the account, you can attempt to keep villages within your Tribe through whatever means.
If you plan to resign from a World you may look to have your friends/tribe co-ordinate attacks on you.
You cannot account sit and 'gift' villages to others.
You cannot as an account sitter send troops out as either support or attack with the intention of other players nobling your village.
Accounts which are used to push others on a regular/permanent basis will be banned.
To reilliterate again, the Tribal Wars Team have been provided with clear guidance to how to apply this rule as above, and hopefully this is now clearer for many of you. Regardless of what we say, or what examples we provide, people will look to push our limits and gain support in attempting to have things changed for their benefit - its human nature to an extent.

I, personally, welcome any constructive ideas or suggestions with regards to the Rules and will continue to look to develop them in a manner that is in some level of consulatation with the Tribal Wars Community. I note that some players wish to help rewrite areas of the Rules and I welcome them to make contact with me with prepared material.
