So, it would be cool if we could also use this thread as a sort of brainstorming template for people to leave ideas for news stories or topics which they would like to be covered here and discussed here.

Perhaps not IMP merges but Tribal merges might be a good idea, like what people would like to see happen, what people would just laugh at and what might actually happen according to them.

I see some actual merges that could benefit some tribes, wait. nevermind. Only like one merge that could happen that could benefit those tribes...

Ummm I don't think you know what I'm talking about... :p

Why would I tell you what tribes would benefit in a merge? Maybe it's to tribes that could merge and endanger me and my tribe? Why should I tell you guys and risk that, if that is the case.

EDIT: I know you were joking. :D

I think there are few tribes left who could actually benefit from a merge at this stage in development in the server. Perhaps in the future things might change, but as far as I can see, it would need to be two small elitest tribes merging who share borders.
Now there are no (powerful) tribes, who exist at the moment, in that situation.

IMP, PnP and Dr NO are all far too large in member base to be merging with anyone at the moment. Best thing for them to do is fight each other. Or in this case, NO and PnP, fight IMP :D

BCB and MPFC are "mergeable", but share no decent borders with each other or any appropriate merging partners.
For BCB, the only option would really be UWA, but UWA is currently too large (on members) to be merging. If they slimmed down, then perhaps, in the future a merge would be feasible, but still unlikely.
Fireborne is too headstrong of a leader to submit or even share with someone else. Possibly UWA slim down and merge into BCB if they face troubles with NO, then the new UWA/BCB tribe would likely go to war with NO.

Meanwhile, there are only two options for MPFC really. And thats the GA and PnP. Both currently unlikely. PnP having too many members and being somewhat anti merge, even though there is a friendly and healthy relationship between PnP and MPFC, its just not feasible at the moment, nor is there or would there be any need right now.
The GA are closer to a food source for MPFC, if MPFC decided to get fresh, so I can't see there being any gain in merging with the, unless they intended to turn things around and try and fight PnP.

In the west, possible merges are SWIFT into Virus, IMP or RDA. But thats about it.

I agree with you on all of that, Midnight.

The only actually good mergse that I could see would be:
MPFC -> PnP - Which will not happen, nor will probably ever happen. PnP is so powerful already, why would they want to increase it and ruin the fun of having at-least some challenges in this world, if this world ever became more of a challenge or if PnP's member size went down, I could see this merge as possible, and it would definitely improve both tribes.

MPFC -> =BCB= - Both tribes are much above average. However, Midnight you are completely right about how it would not be a good move bcuz there are some gaps in-between our 2 tribes. However, if we ever filled those gaps a merge would definitely be beneficial.

P.S. I am not in the MPFC council, I am a regular member of MPFC. None of my opinions are at all the opinions of the council, as I do not know their opinions, this is simply my opinion and mine only.

Not exactly midnight....

Those gaps are not PnP, those gaps are TFL,GOW,WORLD,JEDI, and more noob tribes. But yes, there are some pnp villages over there.

Both tribes (MPFC & BCB), expanding NE, so we are going to have borders and share the same territory. Then, as chad said, a merge would be benefitial.

Ugg PnP has way too many members as is.

Besides all that just do not want to explain how to play the game to rim rats :icon_razz:

The NE has been a problem area since RON fell apart & no tribe ever really took control other than in points.
It could be the last place left for a new power to pop up.

We have already seen something like this happen in the NW with Dr NO getting some fresh blood in the ranks.

However at this stage why merge with shared forums & easy claim systems would it not be far easier to keep as is but have very strong diplomacy. I have found in past worlds if it is not due to leadership leaving keeping the identity of the tribe is very beneficial to all parties.

Continue the good work the the newsletter, a good refreshing read,

can see alot of time goes into it.

Maybe do a small peice on 10 to 15 tribes,
they might not matter to many of us, but it would still be something different
and may also encourage players from those tribes to the forums
which may assist in producing quality posts

=BCB= and MPFC have discussed merging, and rejected it.

And Heraclea, duchess of UWA, would not consent to a merge into =BCB=. They would declare on us before they merged. Nor would we take in their entire tribe, there is still too much deadweight there.
