Do sigs have to be a specific file type? I have a png 550x80 and its about 80kb. The image isn't working. I was just wondering why.

Do sigs have to be a specific file type? I have a png 550x80 and its about 80kb. The image isn't working. I was just wondering why.
My problem was that the png, was to big in terms of Kb, even after the wuality was reduced, and it wouldn't go directly from xcf to jpeg, but it worked once I got it to jpeg.
How does this look. I've been trying out some tutorials over the past couple days and I'm pretty pleased with this result.

I'm trying to look for other render sites besides planet renders because I can look through the top rated ones there and pick some of them out as other people sigs. Any sites you'd recommend?Looks almost exactly like a tut I have seen, use a different render from the tut.
