Yeah, but most likely, the tribe is somewhat responsible for him still being here and as such he should pay his respect to the tribe that has secured his presence and growth. Deleting without a word is a weird way of doing that.

You are right. Its fair that he should decide what happens to the account. But by deleting, he is not contributing to the tribe's goal. In my opinion, what he did is actually bad for the tribe. Which is why.... He is irresponsible. It will be different if he actually take some time to explain his actions.

True that. At least I gave my friends, mates and allies several months to noble my vils before I deleted.

Cry you a river? For what? We aren't angry or upset about it. It just shows how selfish you are. End of story. I dont mind getting ODA and free barbs with high points at the same time you know. But like I said.. It hinders the tribe's objective as a whole.

I always like to link games behavior with RL. Do you donate to the charity? Are you in some sort of Organ donation after death?

I doubt so.

Sorry to get you worked up to the point of double post.

Anyway.. We should stop. You have your own opinions I have mine. If I shall decide to quit in the future, I will definitely set one of my tribemate as a sitter so they can have "free" villages. So what if I pay premium every month? So what if I slog hard for my account?

Do you know the impact of deleting an account in the middle of an war? I don't think so. Cos you are selfish. lol

By "gifting" (IMO, the word gift is an overstatement. You are quitting already.. Can you consider discarded villages as gifts?), you open up opportunities for the enemies. NOT REALLY About getting free villages.. REALLY.

If you still think that we are after free villages then I think we shouldn't discuss anymore..

Edit: My posts are not personal. It depends on how you view it. :)

the fact is we might not agree, maybe it is selfish of me from your point of view, but from mine, i say its fine, and i put the work into the account and it was mine to take away, anphinex givith andd anphinex taketh away.

you did make it personall by the rl comment, yes i too tie similarities to game and life... but i am a very giving person, if ou knew me or were evn in a tribe with me and talked you would know that.

and nicole i agree any bit is better then nothin. ainsley just like with god, you make exuses to give as well

I believe people have the right to do what they want with their accounts. Anphinex was not around long enough to benefit from membership in Storm so I don't think he was under any obligation to let us have his villages. If he had been in Storm from the beginning, then I would have a different opinion because it could be argued that a long-time member of Storm was successful with the help of his tribe. However, even with that said, sometimes players delete their accounts because they feel they've not been dealt with fairly in the tribe.

Having been the leader of Storm (which I am not any longer since I stepped down) I can tell you it is difficult to deal with all the internal issues between members that crop up in a tribe. In my experience, there are three cliques in any tribe...much like the makeup of any football team.

1. Strikers: The Offensive-Minded players that are always in the middle of a fight and do most of the village taking.
2. Midfielders: A player that will participate in an Op by sending nukes/fakes/support, and may or may not not take an enemy village. If they do take a village it is after the Op has been well under way and there is mopping up to do because the frontline has moved on.
3. Backs: a defensive-minded player that is practically all defense and will participate in an Op by mostly sending support/fakes with a few nukes, but will not take an enemy village.

The mistake that most tribes make is in thinking that #3 (and some extent #2) is not pulling their weight and contributing to the success of the tribe. The trick as a leader is to get the most out of your people by encouraging their strengths. You cannot make a striker out of a back. It will not happen and a leader shouldn't waste their time trying to make it happen. You can't change a person's basic nature through a game.

So, with all that said, Strikers believe that the majority of internal nobles should go to strikers, and some middies, but never backs. This attitude is the major cause of discord within tribes and in my experience causes some middies and backs to eventually quit because they don't feel they are appreciated. I'm Not saying this happened with Anphinex, but I know this happened with others in Storm.
