Not A Bug Watchtower doesn't tag incoming attacks to newly conquered village

Not sure if this is intended gameplay or not, but decided it didn't hurt to mention it.

I've just conquered a barbarian village inside my watchtower radius and of course it had several incoming farming attacks. These attacks were never tagged by the watchtower despite the newly conquered village being inside the watchtower radius.

Is this a bug or intended gameplay?
