What do the dots beside the villages on the maps mean?

i am new and am just wondering what the dot colours mean

The colour of dots show you whether your tribe has a NAP/alliance or whether they are enemies.
Darkish red= Neutral
White= Your own
Bright red= Enemies
Purple-ish= Non-Aggression pact
Cyan= Allies

i'm sure if you looked through twwiki or the help guides you'd find the answer
without asking. anyway shouldn't this be in the questions section?

With dots, beside villages,
Yellow= your own villages,
Green= Friends’ Villages
White= Village you are currently in
